Secret base for defense projects

Area 51 - The Security!

Brief reminder of the area 51
At about 190 km northwest of Las Vegas in the Nevada desert, the official map suddenly becomes silent
Nothing that is not in this area are mentioned! however, there are mountains and ravines, building a good si"e
and a huge trail of 9# km long flight $ut none of it appears on the card %n an area the si"e of &wit"erland, it
seems that human activity has been deliberately obscured Area #1 was established in 19#' to serve as a secret
base in the Lockheed Aircraft (orporation, the aerospace company which then was developing spy planes for
the (%A and the )entagon *he test site was used until recently to the most advanced defense pro+ects
implemented by the ,nited &tates &tealth &tealth bomber was tested on this basis as other gear futuristic
design -iven these activities, the base has always been shrouded in secrecy . the ,& Air /orce 0,&A/1 has
not acknowledged until 199' because that is where is the spearhead of American military technology 2owever,
according to certain elements of recent information technology website as well as its employees would not only
American
Security of the site
Access to this area is prohibited )anels placed limits indicate that 3the use of armed force is authori"ed against
intruders3 %n addition, the airspace over the place is the inviolable ,nited &tates 4e are in the territory of the
Nellis Air /orce 5ange and the Nevada nuclear site, commonly called Area #1 0Area #11, following the former
official designation of the place
2is entire cabinet is bristling with electronic sensors, crew safety by helicopter ultra.sophisticated strongly
respond to any intrusion *his is the most protected area in the world, there is no law course *he 6uestion of the
nature of Area #1 is raised because of the inability to enter, if you made you are liable to be shot on sight
7nter that area earned some people find themselves in handcuffs and being searched very thoroughly *he
penalties can range up to 8 9,000 in fines and one year in prison 4itnesses claim to have received death
threats /or years, this fascinating area and thousands of people who each year become more interested, point
to approach to the authori"ed limits and take photographs and videos 02owever, videos are often reported to
ufologists, in which we see 6uite clearly bi"arre ob+ects with all the visual characteristics of ,/:s %ntense lights,
resembling ioni"ation, ultra rapid movement from one point to other instantaneous disappearance of the ob+ect1
Armed with camcorders, powerful telephoto lenses and telescopes, ufologists have even organi"ed to monitor
3;reamland3 twenty.four out of twenty four at the top of 3*ikeboo peek3 only place available legally or < you can
see the facilities
/orbidden around the perimeter of Area #1 is '0 km ;ifficult to go in this forbidden territory, as you would
immediately arrested or stopped by monitoring teams present ='h>='h with +eeps, helicopters and even fighter
+ets /.19 ,nder such conditions, it is difficult to capture images and learn more about this top.secret military
base 5umors are present on.site state of the enlargement of the area of operation A.#1 &ince a year now, and
this small, still, 6uiet village entity what 5achel is constantly disturbed by continuous truck traffic engineering
*hey come and go back to all the military "one 5ubble, construction e6uipment suggest that new
developments closest civilian limits this time are underway
A small incursion on a dusty road and you come face to face with the (ammos ;udes Air activity is almost
constant 4arning roar of rapid transition, the head is raised, and 9 times out of 10, we see the famous /.1# spin
spin and perform missions, according to the authorities in the area, are tactical missions (ammos *he ;udes
011, which are not only (herokee ?eeps, but also more and more /ord /.1#0 5egarding the $lack 2elicopters,
you can not really miss them %n fact, when you walk two or three kilometers of the point of the $lack @ail $oA,
you are 3supported3 not only by (ammos ;udes, but you go ahead and approaching the famous 3,se of ;eadly
/orce Authori"ed3 signs, there, the helicopters arise from nowhere, they are very 6uiet :ne, then two, rarely
three stationary position themselves at a safe distance flight, and % think this is deterrent enough to turn around
$ut what is striking is how the guards 0(ammos1 refuse any contact *hey are, at most, =0 meters away from
you, and if you want to approach mine, they were down a few meters *hese guys do not talk, that does not
mean that is funny are the contrary, ;on 7mery 0=1 was aware of numerous cases of beatings and knows at
least two people, after crossing the physical boundaries area, have 3disappeared3 for a good week :n their
return, as one than the other, no longer had the slightest desire to simply open a maga"ine where we talked
about the A#1
Notes 011 vehicles (ammos 0=1 ;on 7mery is responsible for the Area #1 5esearch (enter
The Cammos
*he (ammos are members of a private security services 07- B - *echnical &ervices, %nc1, which are
responsible for keeping the outer perimeter of the area @ost of them are in camouflage 0hence the name1, they
patrol the perimeter in white or champagne (herokee ?eeps /ord /.1#0s *hey can usually be seen resting on a
hill near 3-room Lake 5oad3 monitor traffic on the road through high.powered binoculars %n the evening they
can often be seen patrolling on 2ighway CD# between 3-room Lake 5oad3 and 5achel several times and at all
hours of the night *hey go in and out of the base of the road 3-room Lake 5oad3, 3@ailboA 5oad3 or 3North
-ate3 05achel $ack -ate1 &ometimes they turn off their lights and use their e6uipment night vision when driving
on dirt roads
*he (ammos have no legal authority outside the restricted area, they made orders to avoid contact with
civilians 2owever, if you cross the perimeter for any reason, they will intercept and immediately call the 3Lincoln
(ounty &heriff3 to put you under arrest with a mandatory fine of 8 1,000 which will be the beginning of your
problems Legally, they have the right to open fire on the intruders, but it was never implemented
*he (ammos are 6uite paranoid and afraid of being recogni"ed in the region 0*hey can be your neighbor1, and
do all kinds of things to keep you from seeing their face, they fall by the sun of their ?eep, cover part of their
faces with their hands *he rumor says that if a picture is taken or the face of a (ammo is recogni"ed, and if it is
published, he will lose his +ob
;espite their severe appearances, cammos are only present for eAternal security and around the main area
*heir authority is limited even within the restricted area 2omeland &ecurity is reserved for 3the Air /orce @ilitary
)olice3 5ecently two new types of vehicles (ammos were introduced! /ord /.1#0 pickup and -olden
champagne (hevy =#00 'A' truck
The Guard Shack on Groom Lake Road
*he limit of the restricted passage to the -room Lake 5oad area is marked only by signs on both sides of the
road, and by orange poles *here is no fence or gate guard, so we enter with relative ease by the long straight
*he gate guards is hidden in a bend, approAimately 0E# miles down the road and out of sight at the edge of the
previous mark *here are two buildings *he first is a pretty big story building approAimately C0 to '0 feet, it is
complemented by a black and white barrier blocking the road *his barrier is illuminated by red lights at night
The Security Cameras
*he road to -room Lake and most other roads are under surveillance cameras, they are usually placed on the
height of a hill, with eAtensive on the road and the surrounding terrain view :n the road to -room Lake, there
are two cameras on the hill that are placed on the left side of the road *here is also a great camera for remote
monitoring on the top of mountain 3$ald @ountain3 that can cover most of the valley 3*ikaboo3
*he cameras appear to be stationary, mounted on a tripod A solar panel on a tripod leg supplies an electronic
module which is in a gray boA, and there are two antennas *he ,2/ antenna is often directed on point within
the restricted area that is close, while the platform 0such as round antenna1 usually points to the radar installation
of 3$ald @ountain3
*he 3$ald @ountain3 post that is in alignment with the Valley 3*ikaboo3 seems to operate as a relay station for
the signal from the video cameras and cameras *he ,2/ antenna could be used to receive remote signals as a
backup channel in case of failure of the post at the top of 3*ikeboo peek3
4e recently noticed that the solar panel can be seen leads us to believe that these devices are no longer in use,
and they were replaced by another different system and probably much more effective All these devices, such
as sensors on were left in place in order to divert attention *he two monitoring devices are located on a hill
inside the "one boundary *he second is a portable version of the camera, the tripod seems to have a head for
manual fine positioning suggesting a high magnification *he three passive infrared sensors against the intrusion
on the right part of the @%;& systems by the company Fual.*ron, %nc New )robes 5oute #1 around the area are
also part of this system $*4, the base n Gnot use shrinkheads
The Position of radar "Bad !ountain"
4ith 9CE0 feet, 3bald mountain3 is the highest peak of the 3@ountain range3 which is the mountain range north of
Area #1, south of 5achel /rom its summit you to view most of the 3*ikaboo Valley3 and 3&and &pring Valley3 %t
was on public land until 19E', when the security "one has been eAtended to include part of Northern 3-room
Lake3 and almost all of 3-room 5ange3 %n :ctober of 199#, same for 3when 4hite &ides3 and 3/reedom 5idge
4ere taken3 taken in the area, a radar station 3 bald @ountain 3has been completed *he white radar domes can
be seen easily from most locations in the two valleys %n :ctober =000 a new radar installation with a smaller
dome was made a half miles north.east of the original site, +ust below the summit ApproAimately at the same
time, another lower structure, a possible platform for the helicopter, was built between the two peaks, and red
lights, easily visible to the naked eye at night, were mounted on two main radar domes
*he position seems to be uninhabited and is completely remote control, sometimes a &ikorsky @2.90- $lack
2awk can be seen flying very low, a crew may be of service there *here are also a large number of monitoring
devices 0cameras1 for a remote control mounted on the tower *hey are pointed in different directions, and may
cover the entire valley *hey are a larger type 0most powerful optical1 than those found in the valley of the control
points *he fact that the third dome to be built away from the other two indicate that operation could interfere with
other radars, or vice versa
*here are rumors also on the ability of the radar system that would include high.tech e6uipment such as laser
microphones that are capable of listening to conversations in vehicles on the road 2wy CD# *he technology
eAists, but use of the site is not proven *he -)& coordinates of the large radar dome are! N CD H =999D Gand 4

Probes and Sensors intrusion road
%n =00C, there is a new type of sensor, similar to the old sensors on principle, but more compact *hey are
currently in operation, the transmitter and sensor are buried in the sand near the road, only the antenna above
the surface *hey are part of the system @%;& company Fual.*ron, %nc 7V75I probes is powered by a 9V
battery *here are also against the new passive infrared intrusion probes Another type of sensor used in the area
a few years ago, was used for the detection of vehicles *he probes are hidden in the bushes near the dirt roads
leading into the restricted area 2owever they were in the public domain and uses the safety of 3-room Lace3
became illegal *hey had also become vulnerable to site visitors who amused themselves degraded or changing
codes fre6uencies, creating confusion would permit the cammos
@ost probes were removed, and certainly replaced by more efficient and less vulnerable *here are still old
probes on the public domain, but they seem inactive A probe was found along a dirt road on the north slope of
3-room 5ange3 less than ten miles from 5achel *he small black and white roller is the actual sensor which
detects the approach of the vehicle by the magnetic field At the top of the probe is the transmitter with its short
antenna at the foot of it you can see the 1=V>=EAh rechargeable battery lasts up to ' months
*he probe is connected to a connector which apparently was designed for operation with three probes, the third
input of the connector is not used *he fre6uency used is '99=# @2" or '9DD# @2" *he two fre6uencies can
be ad+usted independently *he address is set in $(; code, and the address range is 0 to 1999 %n other words,
a total of =000 transmitters can be used in fre6uency *his unit is the 10DE address *he sticker says that the
transmitter has been tested on 19 ?une 19E9, at the time or the probes were put into service &ince it is no
longer maintained, this probe seems doomed to disappear
"ther #e$ices !onitorin% and !arkers
*here are several other types of monitoring devices, such as sensors for detecting movement *here are also
rumors of 3/ragrant3 probes able to distinguish between human and animal ,nlike other rumors, the silver
spheres set on poles orange, not detection devices After review, the spheres are hollow, they are probably used
to calibrate the radar &ome are used as a 3marker3 to better defined the restricted area *here must be other
ways of monitoring and detection most advanced on the inside of the restricted area than those found in the
device close to the public
*here are also many large white barrels that are near roads and intersections *hey are used as markers for the
locals to know and identify what sector they are
The Back &a'k &eicopter
A fleet of three helicopters stationed at the base, provide aviation safety around the site area *hese are
&ikorsky @2.90- $lack 2awk, a new version of 3$lack 2awk3 *he first ,2.90A ,& Army flew in 19D', the @2.
90- flew in 19E= %t was modified for the ,& Air /orce with eAtra fuel tanks and refueling boom retractable flight
increases its range of 900 to 900 km &everal times daily and the $lack 2awk helicopter can be seen doing the
overflown at low altitude and turned round off the base through the Valley 3*ikeboo peek3 A few years ago, it
was fre6uently used to scare away visitors to the area, while they were on public land *oday of course the
procedure is illegal and has been limited to eAtreme cases
Checkpoint north( )The Guard Shack*
%n :ctober =000, the (heckpoint North also known as the 35achel $ack -ate3 has been improved in terms of
security and the former position seems abandonnJ,n new fence has been installed, the fence has been
improved, and another was added *hey are now in black and white with a bright red label for the night
(ameras and pro+ectors are mounted on pylons, an AL&.1000 lightning, a *&&.''0 0monitoring system1 *he
three main buildings are numbered in black number! 99D, 99E and 9E9 Iou can see the portable toilets,
indicating that the position is not e6uipped health :ther buildings in the neighborhood, like the one near the
radar is numbered 9E0
The Locations approach "+orth Gate" radars
*here are several mobile radar ac6uisition in place and several other buildings in the northwest of the guard of
3North -ate3, approAimately 1.= miles inside the perimeter
%t seems they have settled there permanently, almost in line with the flight of 3-room runways3 more northerly
track *he ma+ority of the cameras are of 5ussian origin, and it is very likely to test operation stealth ability of air
devices &ometimes at night you can see the red and blue flashing lights on its radar sites, they are visible
3Vicinity of (edar -ate3 in the north and its environs *his usually indicates that they are active, and a trial will
start or is in progress *hey are usually about an hour or two before the actual event, they operate in the 37.
$and3 0=D.=9 -2"1 5adar, similar to the 33 Vicinity of (edar -ate 3was designed for use with the &.=00 &A.#
-A@@:N is 5ussian missile system ground to air at high altitude
%t is also used with the &A@ &A.=>C %t has a range of =E km to a maAimum altitude of C= km *here is also a
5ussian radar ac6uisition 3)5V.11 &%;7 N7*3 that operates in the 1#0 @2" V2/ band with a range of =D# km,
an altitude of C= Kms Another &oviet radar system 3*2%N &K%N3 a long haul ac6uisition radar with a range of
over C00 km, altitude up to C0 km %t operates in the 37.$and3 0=D.=9 -2"1
The position of Guard "+orth Gate("
Located approAimately 1# miles southeast of 5achel 5anch, access is via a dirt road that intersects 2ighway
approAimately west %t is known as the 35achel $ack -ate3, here is a true guard with a barrier, marking and
mesh perimeter unlike the guardhouse 3-room Lake3 4hen you approach this position, the goalkeeper abandon
hamburgers on the grill neAt to the building and disappears into his office, where he usually stays until you leave
0even if its burgers burn coal solid wood1 4e are on a legal ground, and you will not find cammos doing the
lookout with binoculars at the top of hills 2owever, there is a tall mast with pro+ectors and multiple antennas +ust
behind the guard and the roof of the building is e6uipped with several cameras /ront of the station is a satellite
antenna L miles in perimeter, *here are many mobile radars in place and several other buildings 0storage,
shelter generators1 northwest of the port of entry
Si%ns and si%ns prohibitin%
2ave found all around the perimeter of the restricted area, along dirt roads and highways *hey are also present
in large numbers in various guard posts *heir lyrics are very eAplicit, usually written in white and red *he
