THE HOW-TO
Che general concept is simple* 'ut ou need to 'e com0orta'le with ta3ing our interior apart and

!emove t.e !adio$ Disassem'le the necessar trim and pull the stereo out o0 its mount to e5pose
the rear o0 the head unit2 Chis ma reHuire a specialiIed stereo6removal tool2 =or help on this* consult
our car;s service manual or chec3 online 0orums2 Ca3e pictures o0 the process so ou can put things
'ac3 together in the correct order2
Connect t.e &odulator$ ?emove the antenna ca'le2 Chen plug the wired =M modulator into the
antenna connection on the radio* and the antenna ca'le into the =M modulator2 I0 the =M modulator
has a 0reHuenc selector* choose the 0reHuenc with the least inter0erence in our area2 <ome cars
7such as &M and /issan models starting in the late $"#+s* and plent o0 others in the ($st centur9 use
odd'all proprietar antenna connectors on 0actor radios instead o0 the tpical Motorola connector2 I0

=M modulator to the power source ou located in the previous step2 I0 the modulator does not have an
inline 0use* we recommend adding one to the positive wire2 Connect the ground wire 0rom the =M
modulator to a good ground connection under the dash2 Mount the =M modulator;s power switch in a
convenient location* near the radio or center console2
"id,ing -'$ Plug the ?CA connectors o0 the audio input ca'le into the =M modulator2 ?oute the end
with the ,2!6mm plug to a location inside the glove'o5* center console* or other easil accessed 'ut
hidden location2 <ecure the =M modulator under the dash with Iip ties2 &ather the loose wires with
additional Iip ties2 Don;t ma3e it too tightJou don;t want to crimp an wires2
"est t.e /udio$ Curn the ignition on* power up the =M modulator* and connect an audio device to the
,2!6mm plug: tune the radio to the =M modulator;s 0reHuenc* and ma3e sure ou;re getting a good
audio signal2
