Century Mathematics
Course Description:
The highlighted skills in soaring 21
st
Century Mathematics 6 are automation of computational skills and the use of reasoning based on logic. Through these, the students
can solve confidently and accurately to prepare them for the challenge of the next century.
Number of Units:
Pre-requisite: Mathematics 3
General Objectives:
The students should be able to:
A. Cognitive
1. Develop empirical skills in computation;
2. Acquire understanding of mathematical terms and concepts;
B. Psychomotor
3. Converse confidently about quantities, logical relationships, and unknown quantities using the four basic operations, models, graph illustrations, and other means
learned and acquired during the study of the course;
4. Reason logically by way of scientific process; that is by gathering data and interpret then through the use of graphs, and present them with clear processes to support
inferences;
5. Apply the benefits of mathematics to other fields of studies to have more productive outcome.
C. Affective
6. Be an enthusiastic learner of mathematics who can solve problems in ways through the use formulas, techniques, or simple their critical thinking abilities;
