Reflection Activities
Weather Report:
What is the implied task? For each participant to draw
a weather picture that
represents their feelings at
different times in the activity
or program
Number of participants Any number
Supplies A piece of paper for each
participant, markers,
crayons, pencils, pens, etc.
Framing sample Ask the participants to draw
out a weather report about
how they felt at the
beginning of the day and up
until the end of the day.
Variations Have participants write the
weather report in their
journal.

Laminated Pictures:
What is the implied task? For each individual to
verbally share their feelings
about the activity by relating
them to a picture on a card.
Number of participants Any number
Supplies Laminated pictures, paint
sample names, crayon color
names, cards with moods on
them
Framing Sample Have the participants sit in a
circle around a pile of cards.
Ask the participants to
choose one card that best
describes their feelings about
the activity. They may share

Play-Dough Sculptures
What is the implied task? For each individual to make a
play-dough sculpture that
represents something that
they learned or will be taking
with them from the
adventure program or
activity.
Number of Participants Any number
Supplies Play-dough
Framing Sample Give everyone a small
container of play-dough. Ask
the participants to create an
object that reflects
something important they
learned through the activity
or program or something
important they will carry with
them from the experience.
Participants can also sculpt
why they felt the project was
important to the community.

Clapping Debrief
What is the implied task? Debriefing activity that allows
participants to respond the
facilitator’s questions by
clapping their hands.
