1. TITLE:
INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTRE VISHAKAPATNAM
2. INTRODUCTION:
The project is basically a Trade centre is envisaged as a multi dimensional urban facility which
caters to a verity of activities can function independently or in relation to the respective
activities. Basically its a complex of various buildings which is built exclusively to host
conferences, exhibitions and large meetings, seminars, training sessions etc. and of exclusively
pavilions. A convention centre often also provides office facilities and a range of leisure
activities within it. The planning is in a fashion to facilitate each of the elements to benefit from
the others through a well planned and judicious integration of the users provided by the complex.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
To comprehended the various issues involved in planning and design of the centre
leading to a lively building that would promote interaction and exposure to many
activities in an interesting environment.
To design a multi-use complex this creates to a vast section of society leading to an
efficient building complex.
To create an architectural image for the building form.
A chance to fully explore the imagination blend of the built and the inbuilt spaces which
like to take as a challenge.
To design keeping in mind the blending the space with the promenade.

SCOPE:
The scope of the study includes the identification and comprehension of all the
factors involved in the planning, design function, management of conference and
exhibition spaces and the associate spaces like performance centre, library etc.
The detailed study of the site and the surrounding in terms of architectural
characteristics, important focal points etc, will help in the conceptualization of
the design solution.
Understanding the trade centre by studying the technical functions of the spaces
that it contains and their interrelationships. Circulation and services being the
backbone of the centre need to be thoroughly understood and clarified.
LIMITATIONS:
This design solution does not offer working drawings, cost estimation, structural
and other technical engineering details which would require the services of
respective consultants before work can actually be started on the site and
coordinated with in time and budget constraints.

SITE SELECION:
Vishakhapatnam is emerging far and wide with its huge industrial, its the
fastest growing city in south Asia.
It lies on the costal line and hence it attracts lots of investments.
It acts as one of the connecting point between India and other parts of
world for major trade at its harbor.
