product-line and other strategic review and business valuation projects for J .P. Morgans top senior
management team. Projects included analysis leading to Morgan selling off its securities services
business and analysis supporting Morgans last successful defense oof its AAA-rating.
VP, Head of NY Swaps Support Unit (1986 1991) Managed all aspects of Global Swaps
Support Unit in New York. Managed 25 staff supporting a $150 billion portfolio of interest rate and
currency derivatives. Drastically reduced business risks by stabilizing front-, middle-, and back-office
operations. Instituted first middle-office trading support function and first-of-its-kind Rapid
Application Development (RAD) process at Morgan. Implemented first mission-critical PC- and LAN-
based transaction systems. Doubled operations efficiency by reengineering trade capture and
processing in New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo. Generated cost savings of $3 million per year at a
time of severe management concern and market turmoil.

The Grace Commission, Washington, DC (J une, 1982 November, 1982)
As part of task force co-chaired by then Chairman of Corning Glass Works, performed policy, financial, and
management analysis in identifying $145,000,000 in savings opportunities within Department of Commerce.
