1 A wonderful resource! Thanks for sharing your gifts and promoting those of others!
1 Always willing to share.
1 I love the tech office!
1 Not really sure why is being evaluated.
1 Sometimes forgets that "old fashioned" methods can be very effective.
1 Thank you, Eric! You are a tenacious problem-solver and I am grateful for your support.
1 Thanks for all the hard work!
1 We have the best Educational Technologist in the country!
1 Perhaps Eric should visit classes more to see what we need and make suggestions about how we could use tech
more. I follow the blogs, but don't know the right questions to ask.
1 Why does Eric get 2 periods off for this job? He offers little to no instruction about how to do anything. He only offers
classes when it is convenient for him. Sending an email once in a while with some links is NOT teaching; I have learned
nothing new from Eric.
1 Please add at least one more full-time employee to the Tech Office! The folks there, especially Jamie, seem to have
way too much work...
1 So many faculty find him polarizing but he has been helpful to me. I would Like more vision from him-- the dreamer
aspect to come out. It would be great is his role was more evident in the school building.
1 He provides so much information for my growth as a technology-using teacher. I love reading all the emails and his
blogs and seeing all the tips he provides us! Please have more workshops this year. Also, the Catlink course seems to
have died out - I'm sad because I really wanted to learn from it. Otherwise, keep up the great work! Don't let the other
negative comments get you down because you are doing a FANTASTIC job!
1 The Educational Technologist is fantastic - very knowledgable and up-to-date on best practices. Since he also teaches,
he can't be available all day but I always find him to be approachable and helpful when he is available. I think it's great
that we offer support and help to teachers at other schools who need the assistance or could benefit from our
privileged access to technology.
1 I can't imagine implementing the changes we've made without him. He is generous to all. I especially appreciate his
availability to other schools and groups. Eric is indeed an Ignatian grad at grad.
1 Excellent department! They are always helpful, accessible, patient and kind. They are to be commended for how well
they do their job. They need more support.
1 Eric is always willing to drop whatever he is doing to help me or students I send to him with tech related problems
1 I appreciate Eric's emails that are condensed and infrequent enough that I have time to read through the contents. I
know that if I have a specific technological question, I can always ask Eric for support.
1 I don't know who this is, but all our technologists couldn't be more perfect! We are SOOOO lucky to have them all.
Please raise their salaries so they don't leave.
1 I feel a little discouraged seeking help from our Ed Tech, as I reached out to him on 8/30/2013 regarding some help that
I needed. After multiple email requests (and despite his responses that my case had not been forgotten), I got the feeling
that my problem was not a priority. It wasn't until the first week of November (that I requested help again - this time in
person) that it was resolved. The solution took probably 30-40 minutes to resolve, and I was a little off-put that I didn't
receive any sort of apology for the 2+ month delay.
1 Eric is awesome! He ALWAYS helps me. He helps keep the faculty up on the most recent innovations in education while
at the same time showing me AGAIN how to set p a blog. He is good with mundane detail and big picture items. He has
made me a better teacher and a more efficient teacher.
1 Eric's presence goes behind his gentle smile and his expertise in troubleshooting. His writing in the Restless Pedagogue
blog is inspiring and a must read for all faculty.
1 Now that we have ipads I think the educational technologist should be the World History level leader.
1 I think Eric does a terrific job! I value and enjoy him. Could he or the tech dept. in general use more support? I am
concerned about the ever-increasing demands placed upon this group of people and hope that they are being taken
care of from an administrative perspective.
1 I am very impressed with Eric Castro and the way he fulfills his role at the school. He is an excellent model of cura
personalis.
1 In an underappreciated role the work that is done is tremendous. Very supportive, helpful, and makes our lives better on
campus.
