Client

My client is well established IT Consultancy Firm which specialise in business
and strategy advisory, transformation programs, solutions integration,
technological applications maintenance and outsourcing services in a wide
range of industry sectors. Their end client is a well-known insurance company.


Project Scope

My client is looking for a hands-on Solution Architect who will be responsible for
anything from Design, Improvement and Solution suggestions. This person has
to be able to lead a Team and give an Overall Vision. The candidate will be
creating solution designs and architecture designs for projects around the
Microsoft technologies space.

Role Responsibilities
Creating solution designs and architecture designs for Microsoft focused
projects including dependency analysis
Reviewing peer solution designs and checking costs, benefits and technical
designs
Aligning project designs to IT strategy
Lead the design of solutions for large projects and programmes, through
expert architectural skills translate high level business requirements into
technology architectures that align to Divisional strategic architecture
Manage business stakeholders to secure strong engagement for the solution
Work closely with external suppliers to ensure solution makes best use of
technology and meets requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead collaborative working with other areas within Enterprise Architecture
and Design to ensure that all solutions are complete, operable, conform to
business processes and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of
service.
Provide clear, continuous and consistent solution architecture at a detailed
level within the project
Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, meet the needs of business, the agreed
requirements and are both pragmatic and supportive of the Divisional
strategic architecture direction

Candidate profile

At least two years of experience of Biztalk, Dynamics CRM and Azure
Experience as lead architect or senior systems architect on multiple large
scale projects
Experience in leadership, design and implementation of solutions
Good understanding of software lifecycle development
Stakeholder management
Formulate best practices and design guide lines for the team.
Resolves complex design and construction problems to meet specified
objectives.
Ensures that developed systems meet performance considerations outlined in
High Level Design
Provides estimates of time and resources required for delivering Projects and
related artefacts applying agreed processes
Provides Technical inputs (dependencies, sequencing, risks etc) to assist the
Project Manager with sizing and planning small to medium projects
Guide teams and mentor them as required.
Good knowledge of estimation techniques
Finance knowledge desirable preferably Insurance, but it is not essential
Geographical scope
London based role with potential travelling inside and outside the UK required
