Thomasville Police have charged two people in connection with the early morning break-in at the Crossroads Curb Market. Police are asking for the publics help in locating these individuals.
On Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 2:27 a.m., Thomasville police responded to Crossroads Curb Market in reference to an activated alarm. Officers arrived and found someone had driven a vehicle through the front doors of the business causing a substantial amount of damage.
Video surveillance showed a grey Nissan Pathfinder operated by a white male, back into the front doors of the business. A second white male was in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Once inside the business, both males jumped out and took tobacco products. Upon leaving, the rear bumper was torn off and left at the business.
Detectives, through the video surveillance, were able to identify and charge James Arvil Shoun Jr., 41, 401 Lake Drive, Archdale, and Kevin Douglas Cranford, 45, of 2592 Johnsontown Road, Thomasville, with felonious breaking and entering and felonious larceny.
The suspects are believed to be in a grey 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with an unknown fictitious registration number plate. The Pathfinder will be missing the rear bumper and also has damage to the left, rear quarter panel.
Upon viewing the surveillance footage, we learned that some of our patrol officers have had previous interactions with the Nissan Pathfinder, said Detective Ross Conover. We were able to take that information and identify James Shoun Jr. and Kevin Cranford.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
