A. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
To installation and run the software, the following are necessary:
- Windows 7 Vistas, XP, 2000, NT 4.0, 98, or 95
- A minimum processor speed of 300 Megahertz
- A minimum of 64 Megabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM). Memory
requirement depends on the model size. A large model may require
several hundred Megabytes.
- A monitor with at least 16-bit color depth. 24-bit color is
recommended.
- The responsiveness of the program to user interaction increases
with the speed of the graphics board. A graphics board with OpenGL
acceleration is highly recommended.
- The program requires 10 Megabytes of hard disk space.
B. DISTRIBUTION FILE
The following distribution file is currently available:

Please note that this report was released with Model Viewer version 1.0.
Users should refer to the online help pages for instructions on how to
use Model Viewer version 1.5.
D. INSTALLING
To install the software, double-click modview1_1.exe. This will
execute the installation program. Follow the directions on
the screen.
By default, the software is installed in the directory
C:\Program Files\USGS\Model Viewer 1.5. This is the recommended installation
directory, but you may use other directories or disk drives.
E. RUNNING THE SOFTWARE
After installation as described above, the software can be run
as follows:
1. Click the "Start" button
2. Select "Programs"
3. Select "Model Viewer 1.6"
4. Select "Model Viewer"
F. UNINSTALLING
The following procedure is used to uninstall the software:
1. Click the "Start" menu, then click "Settings", and finally
click "Control Panel". The Control Panel is displayed.
2. Double Click on "Add/Remove Programs".
The "Add/Remove Programs Properties" dialog box is displayed.
3. From the list of installed programs, select "Model Viewer 1.2".
4. Click "Add/Remove". Windows will uninstall the application.

Display of particle locations in MODFLOW-2000 GWT and MOC3D

l is no longer supported.
A number of bugs in Model Viewer 1.1 has been fixed.

Model Viewer has been altered to allow the display of heads and drawdowns saved
as binary files with double-precision real numbers.
A bug in reading the SUB package input files has been fixed.

Fixed bug that caused Model Viewer to quit improperly when models with numerous
parameter instances are used.
Modified color bar to allow it's data to come from either the active data set or
the pathlines.
Made changes to allow Model Viewer to read the input files for the LAK and SFR p
ackages that use the revised input format in MODFLOW-2005 version 1.9.

Model Viewer can now display pathlines generated by MODPATH version 6.
With MODFLOW-2000 and MODFLOW-2005 models, Model Viewer can now display data fro
m external files in addition to files generated by MODFLOW.
