What are these Terms and Conditions for?
These general Terms and Conditions apply to your purchase on the Internet portal www.morebooks.de.
Agreements with resellers, with whom we make separate agreements, are exempt.
Which laws apply?
This contractual agreement is governed by German law, excluding the UN Sales Law programme. Insofar as
permissible, Saarbrcken will act as jurisdiction for disputes arising from this contractual agreement. This
applies particularly in cases where you reside outside of Germany or if you have used our website in a language
other than German.
What is the legal significance of my order?
Your order constitutes an offer to enter into a contract with us. The offer is binding as soon as you press the
order button. We then review your information to see if we can process this order. Following your order, you will
receive an e-mail to acknowledge receipt of your order and to inform you that we are processing your file.
I have made an input error. How can I correct it?

Before you bindingly submit your order, there is a page on which your entries are shown as they would appear
to us. Here you have the opportunity to call up an entry form and correct your information, if that is necessary.
Once you have placed an order with us, you will get the information we received in the e-mail, thus confirming
receipt of the information you submitted to us.
You have the possibility to view your purchase orders anytime afterwards. Until payment, an order can be
cancelled without giving reasons. After payment, returns are possible in the case of defects or within the frame
of cancellation rights. At this point, an online cancellation is no longer possible.
Regardless of correction options, you have the possibility to cancel your order without giving reasons.
Cancellation information can be found below (cancellation).
Why do you keep a refused order?
We try to fulfil your order to your satisfaction. In rare instances, a supplier may inform us that a book we have
listed is sold out. We would then refuse your order and a contract would not materialise. If we discover a
different error while processing your order, for example a typographical error on our website, we would then also
refuse your request and offer you an alternative suggestion. In isolated cases we reserve the right to cancel an
order without giving reason. The cancellation is done by e-mail to the address you have provided.
How do I find out about the delivery?
The contract is concluded either by delivering available books in the shortest delay or by informing you of the
status of your order (paid / processing / sent) by e-mail.
How are the books delivered to me?
Our job is to properly select a shipping company such as Post/DHL, UPS or similar services with whom we
entrust the products. The delivery is then made to the address you have provided us.
How do I pay for my order?
You can pay for your order using one of the several methods of payment options available on our website. You
can choose the one you think is the most convenient to you. Claims against us is only permitted when such a
claim is undisputed or legally established. In addition, the delivered products shall remain our property until full
payment has been received.
How is the total price calculated?
In Germany, books are subject to so-called price-fixing. This means that apart from antiquarian bookshops
individual works always have a set price by the publisher, whether purchased in a bookstore or on an Internet
website. The prices listed are relevant to the description of each of the books. Taxes are included at the
applicable rate. Standard delivery within Germany is free for our customers. Additional shipping charges may
apply for ordering discounted copies or when using our premium delivery services. Actual charges may vary
depending on order weight and destination. The total amount of shipping cost will be displayed during the order
process.

Are there additional costs for means of communication, for example?
The ordering process as such is free of charge. Upon payment, bank or credit card company fees may apply.
These are not subject to the legal relationship with Morebooks. Besides the above-mentioned total price, we do
not charge additional fees for monetary transactions.
Communication with us by e-mail is, of course, free of charge.

What warranties are available?
Should your order, on a legal stance, be damaged during delivery, you may request a remedy of defects or a
replacement. The latter requires that you send back the damaged product. In individual cases, should your
alternate choice be inappropriate, we reserve the right to tell you this and select an alternative for you. If this is
also unreasonable, not possible or not possible within an adequate time frame, you have a choice: either accept
a reasonable discount if you keep the product, or withdraw from the contract to the effect that previously
exchanged services from both sides shall be reversed.
What rules does Morebooks adhere to?
Beyond the previously described warranty, we will not be liable if the alleged claim is based on negligence. Our
liability is limited to typically foreseeable damages, when we have violated a separately issued warranty,
breached the Product Liability Act or violated a contractual obligation on our part. We shall be fully liable for
intent and gross negligence as well as harm to life, limb or health.
What cancellation rights do I have?
As a consumer, you can cancel your contract (order) within fourteen days without giving reason. You must do
so by written notice, as required by law, for example by letter, fax or e-mail or by returning the ordered products.
The period begins upon receipt of this written notice, but not before the products are received by the recipient
(where similar products are delivered on a recurring basis, then not before receipt of the first part delivery).
There are no cancellation rights for items specially made for you. This also applies to audio and video
recordings on CD or DVD as well as the delivery of software if the seal has been removed.
To whom do I send my cancellation request?
The cancellation can be made by e-mail through customerservice@vdm-vsg.de or in writing to VDM
Publishing Services Company Ltd., Heinrich-Bcking-Strae 6-8, 66121 Saarbrcken, Germany. The products
received must be returned to the address indicated above.

In the case of an effective cancellation, the mutually provided products and services shall be returned and, if
applicable, any benefits enjoyed (e.g. interest) surrendered. If you are unable to return the products received as
well as profits (e.g. consumer benefits) in their entirety or partially or only in worse or diminished condition, you
may have to reimburse us for the discrepancy in value. For product deterioration and derived profits, you must
only pay compensation if the use or deterioration had to do with the product, beyond the examination of the
properties and function. By testing properties and function one refers to the testing and evaluation of a product,
such as is customary in a store. Products eligible for shipping may be returned at our risk. Any products not
eligible for shipping will be picked up by courier. Obligations to reimburse payments must be made within 30
days. The period begins for you with the dispatch of your return request or return of products, and for us, with
the receipt.
What data are obtained in the use of your website?
When you contact our website www.morebooks.de, we get different information from your browser, such as
browser type and operating system, which we store anonymously without linking it to your IP address. This
enables us to optimise our offers through statistical analysis. A link to a specific internet connection, to a
computer or even to a particular person is impossible due to the lack of IP address.
When you visit our website, we generate a shopping cart in our database. Your IP address is not stored. The
shopping cart is detected by a session ID that is stored in a cookie in your browser. You can disable the
cookies in your browser, but then you will not be able to use a cart on our website. The products you place
inside the electronic shopping cart are the products you stored during your session ID. The shopping cart, i.e.
the session ID and all the related product information will be deleted 24 hours after the last activity on our server.
You can also delete the cookies in your browser before the deletion of the shopping cart, in order to prevent
access to your shopping cart by third parties who might use your computer.
What happens to the data in my account?
You have the option to register as a user, thereby opening an account with us with the following information:
user name, password, e-mail address, first and last name, company name, tax ID and billing and / or delivery
address, postal code and city. The data will not change, nor will it be released to third parties. You always have
the option to delete the account. All data is then deleted irrevocably.
What data are obtained in the order?
When placing an order, the following data will be transferred to us: the ordered products as well as the street,
house number, postal code and city, hence the provided addresses for the delivery and billing. The data of an
order are kept independently of your account data. Order data is not deleted when you delete your account
according to the previously described procedure. The order information is stored in accordance with tax and
commercial specifications. Your data will be passed on only to those third parties who are assisting us with the
execution of the contract. The partners can be printers, couriers and logistic companies that put your purchase
order together and prepare it for shipping and transport. Your account and credit card information will be stored
only by our accounting department and only if you have opted to pay the invoiced amount by bank transfer to
our account. Otherwise, we use external service providers with whom we share our account number and
payment amounts as well as the process description, which will later appear as the subject line in your
statement. In this case, we only obtain a credit memo of the amount debited from you and no actual information
about you.
