FRAMECAD PRODESIGN 2010 Release

FRAMECAD PRODESIGN has had a major upgrade of the base IntelliCAD drawings software. This upgrade
provides advances in compatibility with other software and operating systems, and provides the basis for the
continuing development of the framing features of the software.

The FRAMECAD PRODESIGN upgrade also incorporates a number of enhancements to framing modules.
These include the addition of the IBC/AISI LRFD Design Loading option, and the integration of truss layout
and design options into the TSET form.
Upgrading the Software.

The upgrade involves a complete reinstall of the software. In this process a full new version of the Software
will be installed in a new directory, C:\Program Files\Tanmari, with new updated links.
Upgrade Installation Procedure

1. Download the Full Installer Version from the Framecad web site:
http://framecad.com/care/software-updates
2. Run the Setup File (FRAMECAD ProDesign 11.585 Setup.exe)
3. The Setup File will automatically install FRAMECAD Pro, please follow the on-screen procedures.
4. Once installed please open FRAMECAD Pro (a shortcut FrameCAD Pro will be added to the
DeskTop and the Programs Menu)
5. Check the License status by selecting the Password Button on the About Software form, which is
accessed from the Help menu at the right hand end of the top menu bar. If the Licence form does
not state This package has full access granted then follow the standard procedure to obtain a
current Authorisation Code (Contact support@ framecad.com and provide them with the Reference
Number displayed on the Licence form together with your company details.)
Important Notes

1. The existing Framing System files (i.e. Data files) will be moved to the new software location
(C:\Program Files\Tanmari\Framing Module\Library) and will be available with the new software.
2. The existing Drawing Blocks files (e.g. Borders) will be moved to the new software location
(C:\Program Files\Tanmari\Framing Module\Blocks) and will be available with the new software.
3. Any other files within the c:\qframe directory that you wish to keep must be copied to another
location prior to the installation of the new FRAMECAD PRODESIGN software.
4. A new set of Framing System files (i.e. Data files) are included with the new release. Users should
review the framing detailing that is produced with these systems prior to production to ensure that
the detailing meets their specific requirements.
5. Users who have customised Framing System files, or whose system is not included in the new
Framing System files, should contact FRAMECAD. Customised System files can be produced which
match the users specific detailing requirements while incorporating the full benefits of the enhanced
software
6. CNC outputs are now outputted to a folder located in \My Documents\CNC
