The following are responses to requests for clarification to the Request for Proposal for the Procurement of

Totalizator, Audio Video & Equipment Services for Commingling, CTL ENG 013.

QUESTION SET 1
1) Quantity of Terminals presently being used?
ANSWER There are approximately 320 terminals currently being used. We estimate a need for four
hundred (400) terminals given the combined current demand and expected immediate demand for service.

2) What is the ideal quantity in CTL's opinion of Teller based Terminals and Self service Terminals?
ANSWER Ten of the total quantity of terminals should be self-serve.

3) Servers presently being used?
ANSWER The current servers are Dell servers. Please note that the submission from proposing
entities shall include all necessary equipment.

4) Signal distribution, the present method?
ANSWER The current audio/video signal distribution method is satellite uplink
The current data signal distribution system is a mix of radio modems, lease lines, virtual
private networks.
Please note that the submission from proposing entities shall include the distribution method/s offered by the
proposing entity.

5) Tote Board specs?
ANSWER Present Display specifications: Pool totals for "WIN" and "PLACE"(7 digits each), displays
for 16 runners (odds and 2 rows with 5 characters/row), displays for "TRACK" condition, "MINS TO POST",
"RACE No", "FINAL TIME", "RESULTS", a message board consisting of 5 rows with 26 characters/row. All
display characters are Ferranti-Packard flip-type indicators. Proposing entities are responsible for
independently verifying the compatibility of the existing Infield Display Board (Tote Board), Caymanas Track
Limited accepts no liability for the information supplied herein regarding the specifications of the Tote Board.


6) Tote board compatibility?
ANSWER Present Controller specifications: Mark IV Industries Ltd. controllers and drivers. Proposing
entities are responsible for independently verifying the compatibility of the existing Infield Display Board (Tote
Board), Caymanas Track Limited accepts no liability for the information supplied regarding the specifications
of the Tote Board.

7) LCD TV sets used presently?
ANSWER Caymanas Track Limited cannot specify the number of LCD TV sets presently being used at
the Off Track Betting (OTB) Parlours.

8) What is the ideal amount that CTL would like to have at the Track and OTB's?
ANSWER The ideal amount of televisions at each OTB is eight (8).

9) Wiring used for connectivity of the Servers and Terminals? Quantity in Metres? Ideal amount that should
be included?
ANSWER Proposing Entities are responsible for determining the exact quantity of cabling that would
be required for the system that they propose; Caymanas Track Limited accepts no liability in respect of the
quantity of wire that is proposed by proposing entities. There are five pool houses at Caymanas Park; two
pool houses may require cable runs of lengths exceeding 200 feet each, three pool houses may require cable
runs of lengths exceeding 600 feet each.

10) Form Production "Present" and the ideal for future when Comingling is introduced?
ANSWER Presently, Forms and reports are produced on large carriage paper printers. Please note
that the submission from proposing entities shall include all necessary equipment. Caymanas Track Limited
will not specify the ideal form production.

11) Cameras used to capture Races and broadcast races, presently?
ANSWER Cameras that are currently used to capture races are Toshiba Z-3000.


QUESTION SET 2
1) How many terminals will be required in total?
ANSWER Four Hundred (400) active terminals and all necessary spares.

2) How many televisions sets will be required in total?
ANSWER Eight (8) television sets at each Off Track Betting (OTB) Parlour.

3) Is there a minimum specification for the television sets (model, flat panel, screen size etc)?
ANSWER Minimum size of televisions at the OTB parlours is 21 inch.

4) Who will be responsible for mounting/installing television sets?
ANSWER The proposing entity will be responsible for all installations.

5) Will all eight feeds at the OTBs need to be viewed simultaneously?
ANSWER Affirmative. All eight feeds at the OTBs will have to be available for simultaneous viewing.

6) Who will be responsible for rewiring the CTL head office and the OTBs?
ANSWER The proposing entity will be responsible for all installations.

7) Who is the existing tote solution provider?
ANSWER United Tote is the existing tote solution provider.

8) What is the maximum downtime allowed for cutover to the new solution.
ANSWER Current operations will allow a maximum of 30 hours of complete downtime between
Saturday night and Monday morning.
