Introduction
This assignment is in three parts, design, data and queries, and an assessment.

All parts of the assessment relate to the Warburton Toys scenario below.


Scenario
Warburton Toys is a manufacturer of wooden childrens toys based in Leicestershire, England. They want
you to design and implement a database that meets the requirements specified in this scenario. Examples
of paper documents kept by the company are shown below.

Warburton Toys specialise in the manufacture, supply and delivery of classic wooden toys such as
rocking horses, wooden train sets and dolls houses. They want you to build a system that handles records
of their orders, products, deliveries and payments. Note that where an order has more than one product
associated with it, each product is recorded as a separate order line. The system should also keep track of
any complaints made about any aspect of the business.

Below are samples of the paper records currently kept by Warburton Toys.

Task 1 Initial Design (40 Marks)
Produce an entity relationship model for the proposed database system for Warburton Toys. Produce a
data dictionary for the entity relationship model.


Task 2 Data and Queries (45 Marks)

Implementation and Data (25 marks)
1) Create all the tables using SQL. Show your Create table scripts and the finished tables.
2) Enter data on all the products and designs.
3) Enter data for five customers and their orders. Note that an order might have more than one product
associated with it. Orders are settled by a single payment.
4) Enter data on orders, complaints and outcomes taken from the assignment. Give a listing of this.

Query (20 marks)
5) Write a query that selects all the orders and products ordered by a particular customer.
6) Write a query that selects the complaints with the associated orders, customer and outcomes.


Task 3 Assessment 15 Marks
Give an assessment of how the work you have done has met the requirements of the firm.

The word-processed report must be 1250 words (+/- 10%) in length.
