Title of Tthe Site: Bulik: The Official High School Publication of De La Salle Lipa
Proposed Domain Name: bulik.ph
1. Purpose of the Site: The Bulik website shall serve as a quick means of
disseminating information on the Bulik organizations different activities and
programs. This website aims to make sharing information about Buliks programs
and activities more efficient and at the same time, less costly. Members of the
said organization without the technical konw-how can also edit the content using
only a browser. This is to also adapt to the modern trend of students spending
more time in the internet. They can have more access to Bulik and its programs
and activities.
2. Audience: Though anyone can visit the site, bulik.ph is more directed to the
faculty, students, and Bulik Members of De La Salle Lipa. Though each page
must be presentable and pleasing to the eyes, they still must be direct to the
point for easier understanding of the content.
3. List of Pages:
a. Home Page Page is the first one displayed after typing the domain
name. Has a Log-In portion where in members will input their assigned
account name and their password to have more access to the website.
Posters which contain basic info of most recent or important programs and
activities will be displayed. Said posters will direct the user to the program
or activitys page itself. Posters will change over time. Will also contain
links to other programs and activities.
b. Members Page Page where logged in members will be directed. Page
contains a form in which details for a new activity or program can be
entered even by those without complete knowledge of web development.
Members can also select the suggested programs importance (for display
in the home page). If there is a poster or banner available, the member
can just upload it and again, select its importance. Page also displays said
members assignments to be done for the organization. Contains upload
portion for pictures of completed activities.
c. General Programs and Activities Page Page will list and link all
programs and activities which will be automatically organized by date.
d. Specific Programs and Activities Page Each program and activity shall
have one. It will display said activitys complete details and automatically
displays if the activity has already been completed, based on the servers
time. Will also display pictures for completed activities. Name of each
page depends on the title of the activities
e. About us Page Page will display the basic information and history of
Bulik, together with the pictures and names of the present editorial board
and moderators. Hovering on a picture of the said people, will pop up a
dialogue box containing some info about the person. Clicking outside the
box will close the box. Also listed in the page are names and sections of
members and contributors. Will also list Buliks contact details.
4. Theme and Layout
a. Theme Each page will display the organization logo on the topmost left
corner of page. Shades of green shall be used in decorating a faded logo
will be used in the background.
b. Navigation Each page shall have a Navigation Menu for easier access to
all the sites content. This will be placed at the bottom of each page.

5. Other Requirements
a. Maintenance A person with good knowledge of Web Development shall
be assigned to regularly monitor and update the site when necessary.
b. Client-Side Scripting JavaScript shall be used to enable the interactivity
of the page.
c. Server-Side Scripting The site will be hosted by a Windows 2003 server
to store all the uploaded data. Thus, site shall use active server pages.
