chapter1 introduce
1.1introduce
M108C i s a ki nd of mul t i pl exer wi t h DVB st andar d t r anspor t t r eam, i t has
funct i on of r eal -t i me vi deo st r eams di s- mul t i pl exi ng and
r e- mul t i pl exi ng. The M108C can packed 8 ASI SPTS or MPTS t o 1MPTSand
MPEG-2 output transport have scrambling mode and no-scrambling mode.it can be managed
through network soft or browser in the computer.
Its multiplexing of the base band signal and additional data is compatible with ISO/IEC-13818
standard and its output interface is the standard DVB ASI interface. i t connect net wor k
manage suppor t TCP/ I P pr ot ocol t he Et her net adopt RJ45 por t

1.2working principle

1The multiplexer accept eight MPEG-2 SPTS or MPTS input and output an MPEG-2 transport
stream (MPTS). It filters out the empty packet or unneeded packet, and change the PID
(packet identity) if necessary to provide the transport-related information for the following
process.
2Obtain the PSI(Program Specific Information) and SI(Service Information)and
integrate them with local data. Every input consists of SPTS and every program includes
VIDEO, AUDIO and auxiliary data.
3Using STC to reprocess the PCR(Program Clock Reference)
4the M108C connect with network manage soft through TCP/IP pr ot ocol

The multiplexer only opterate some simple configure,advice using network
manage sofe.once use the network manage soft to configure,please do not use the
panel to operate it.

3.1.1Configure network



configure network is shown appendixA-4
3.1.2initialization



initialization step is shown as follow:
1Click MENU,enter into main menu




2Click key to move factory setitem




3click OK key into the follow figure




4click OK,finish the factory set and return main interfaceclick MENU ,cancel factory set
and return the main interface.

5initialization can be operated by network managelog in M108Cnetwork manage processlog
in M108Cnetwork manage process is introduced in 3.1.3 sectionclick - configured
DVB-SI to outputthen the initialization is finished.
Every equipment is different IP address.
When first use the multiplexer,you must
configure network address through front-panel.

NOTE
The initialization multiplexer can lose some parameter and interrupt
transmiss.
the initialization multiplexer is the same as the first installation or input port
streams changed or working is wrong.

3.1.3log in network manage process
1Double-click icon open the M108C network manage processthe interface is shown as
figure3-1.download the M108C network manage process can be seen in appendix B

2left-click the interface is shown as figure3-2input the M108Cs IP addresssetting IP
address can be seen appendix A-4username default:ctiand passworddefault:ctithen click

If log in successfullyit will display Login success below the interface of network
managementotherwise check connect the M108C with the network management or IP address
clash.

3.1.4Read information
after log in the M108C network management successfullyclick icon the M108C start to
read input port information.at the same time the network interface can not be operated,when
the cursor from sandglass to arrowheadfinish to read the all input information.
Then can operate the M108Cs function.

in the figure3-1,clickstatusthe interface is shown as figure3-3you can watch
bitstreams of input port or output port through the window.

Above the figure3-3in the blue areait will display the M108C outport bitrate(current valid
output bitrate).

Note:the output bitrate is not total bitrate,the total is unchangeable.

1left click the input port and select the signal input port,when port 2 is selected the interface is
show as figure3-7.

Click to save the parameters which have configured the M108Cit will be used to
transfer.
