The palace was declared a state heritage monument by the Government of Madhya Pradesh in 2005 and the state archaeology department carried out restoration in parts. The parking space in the campus of Benazir palace is unspecified, as we enter through the main gate to the magnificient ground, the randomized parking has been observed through out the space. Although the site is divided in to well specified zones with proper connectivity to various spaces. The residential part or guest house is totally separated from the main entrance giving the sense of isolation and privacy to the residers. The campus of Benazir palace have basically the remains of the rest house, the open space for multipurpose use and a lake. The accessibility to various parts of the unit is well managed through roads and pedestrian walkways for the entry of 2 wheelers, 4 wheelers and pedestrians.

The facilities in the Benazir palace is unorganized as there is no proper entrance to the site. The entrance road is narrow and equally congested which creates inconvenience for the visitors. Besides the main gate there is a small temple which acts as an obstruction for the vehicles. There is no proper setback at the front side of the rest house which has lake on the opposite side which restricts the entrance of the heavy vehicle to the site. The parking in the site is truly unspecified as there is no proper space for the parking, randomized parking has been observed. The site is totally unmaintained as the condition of the building is worse with broken boundary walls, jails, chajjas, balconies and other architectural or structural elements.
