0evelop, lead and manage strategic engineering services in the areas of facility and mainline piping, rotating e$uipment, tanks, valves and
other mechanical e$uipment for Enbridges li$uids pipelines systems in %anada and the *nited (tates. 5his role leads a team of subject
matter e"perts and is accountable for development and maintenance of related engineering, construction standards and operating
procedures for li$uid pipelines and also represents the company on a wide variety of Enbridge industry committees.
6esponsibilities
7anage and supervise a distributed network team of up to 89 professional subject matter e"perts supporting 7) and +) projects,
operational re$uest, incident investigations, compliance and regulatory re$uest.
)rovide engineering solutions for projects and installed systems in the areas of pipeline, station and terminal facilities in the areas of
rotating e$uipment, tanks, valves and other mechanical e$uipment. 5his includes recommending solutions to operational issues and
resolving problem reports.
Accountable for mechanical recommendations for projects of all si:es, inclusive of &perational, +i$uids )ipelines )rojects and 7ajor
)rojects.
7anage and assign the creation, review and updates of all the mechanical engineering technical specification and standards relating to
piping, rotating e$uipment, tanks, valves and other mechanical e$uipment.
+ead, assign or participate in failure analyses and incident investigations.
(trategi:e opportunities for new technical solutions related to new technologies and innovations.
+ead capital budget submissions directed at maintaining and advancing Enbridge technology and mechanical e$uipment assets. 5his
includes preparing budgets, scope justifications, schedules and $uarterly reporting for the submissions.
7anage group workforce plan and budget. %reate resource budget re$uests for +) and 7) projects. 7onitor budget performance.
7anage contract staff through e"ecution of work orders and approval of invoices.
Apply leadership and people skills in managing human resources by motivating direct reports and ensuring they are provided with
mentoring and career development opportunities. 5his includes ongoing performance management and recruiting.
)rovide both technical and non;technical mentoring and training for direct reports, &perations Engineering team members and members
of the distributed network of professional subject matter e"perts.
6epresent the department on selected internal and e"ternal technical committees and participate in engineering technical focus groups
related to mechanical design and construction.
/n charge of providing recommendations for %anadian and *.(. assets in the area of mechanical engineering.
Establish new and e"pand e"isting working relationships with a cross;section of stakeholders within the company as well as with
e$uipment manufacturers, vendors and service providers.
%ommunicate and work effectively with a varying set of +) and 7) stakeholders on a regular basis.
'ualifications
%ompletion of an Engineering 0egree speciali:ing in mechanical or related engineering field
%urrently registered as a professional Engineer <).Eng= with A)E>>A.
7inimum of 89 years progressive leadership and management e"perience with a strong diverse technical and project management
e"perience background.
