JANUARY
1.- Read Bridgets new years resolution. What can you learn from them about her?
All the things that we propose change are because it butter us. And by the things she
want to change i think she is doing bad actions. She use to smoke, she cant maintain a
relationship or crate one, in her habits do not exist to do excercise and she traet
people without kindness. But the good point of that is she want a change for that.
2.- Who is Mark Darcy? Why doesnt Bridget want to meet him?
He is a rich top lawyer son of the friends of Bridgets parents, and she doesnt like
because of a ugly sweater he was using the night of new year dinner, the attitude of
him and the way that their were presented each other.
3.- Una Alconburry: She is a Bridgets parents friend they know her since she was a
child and she goes every year to they New years Day Turkey lunch.
Perpetua: She workswith Bridget and she thinks she is her boss.
Daniel Cleaver: Is someone who Works with Bridget and she is inlove with him.
Shazzer: one of the best friends of Bridget.
Tom: The friend that helps a lot Bridget in her love life.
4.- Why does Bridget tell Daniel he is an emotional coward?
Because he only wants a night of fun with she and he didnt wnat a serius relationship,
she thinks he is scared abput that.
FEBRUARY
1.- why does Bridget call her married friends the Smug married? What do they say to
make her feel bad?
Her friends were so proud for being married and they think that there is no other way
to be happy anda they asked she if she has already married and is very difficult to find
a good husband once you get past a certain age. That words make Bridget gets upset.
2.- Valentines Day has no meaning. How does Bridget really feel about Valentines
day?
She said that words without feeling that, only because she wants to shut up Perpetua
mounth, but Bridget want flowers, chocolates and a romantic Valentines night.
3.- Why does Bridgets mother want to change her life? Why does Bridget not believe
her mother is telling the whole truth?
Because she thinks she was wasting all her life serving her husband and daugther and
now she is free t olive her life, and Bridget thinks that she is layuing because she looks
her with anoter man but her mother said is only a friend, but Bridget thinks is having a
romantic relationship with him.
MARCH
1.- What advice do Shazzer: she said he had behaved very badly and she should tell
him all the things she think.
Jude: that Bridget have to him Daniel a chance.
2.- What problems does Bridget face in planning her bithday?
She didnt wants to cook dinner for everybody in the party, she didnt know who to
invite to the party and she wants to ivite they to a restaurant but that is so expensive.
3.- i love my friend why does Bridget say this?
Because they bring a bottle of champagne, and while Bridget was getting ready they
clean up everything and they bought something to eat and, everybody has presents.
4.- Name two ways in which Bridgets mother surprises her:
1. She said that she have a new job like a TV presenter
2. She was dating with a man of the tax office and she has power over her
husband, Julio and the tax man.
APRIL
1.- Why does Bridget want to develop inner poise?
Because she is always in circumstances that make she upsets but if she develop inner
poise when she is angry all of people will think that she is calma and relaxed and all the
things will be better just with a chance in attitude bbecause when you are angry the
things only gets worst.
2.- Why is Bridget surprised to see Jeremy in the restaurant? What problems does this
cause for her?
Because she looks him with another girl tan his wife and she was too Young, but he
only said that it was a business metting, she were in a trouble that she didnt know if
she have to talk with to talk to her wife, or talk directly with her wife, but she didnt do
anything.
3.- how does Bridget feel about the book party? Read through her list of aims for the
party. How succesful is she in achieving them?
She didnt want to go there, she was nervous and afraid and she prefer to be in her
house with a bottle of wine, and she got many of her aims like dont get drunk, she use
a Little of the skills that she learn in that article magazine, but some of them she didnt
succes.
4.-what information does Daniel give Bridget about Mark Darcy?
That he meet him in Cambridge University but he doesnt like him.
MAY
1.- How does Bridget feel about being pregnant?
She was totally afraid, she scream when she look at the results of the test, she couldnt
concntrate, and she have to talk with her friend, and she felt relieved when she
realized that she wasnt pregnant.
2.- Who helps Bridget about the pregnancy test? What mistake has she made about
the test?
Shazzer helps she with the pregnancy test, and the mistake was that she tought that
one line means pregnancy but the truth is that two lines means pregnancy.
3.- What does Magda say abput marriage that Bridget find surprising?
Magda that has a big house, is married and have a beutiful child said that Bridget is
lucky to be single because being married is not as good that Bridget thinks, and Magda
said that Bridget must enjoy her live like a single person.
4.- Why is Bridget angry with her mother?
Because her mother wants to make a film in Bridgets house because she is single but
Bridget says that she have a boyfriend but her mother didnt Heard her and only did
her film.
JUNE
1.- Where does Bridget want to go eith Daniel?
She wants to enjoy the summer with a minibreak, to go to a coruntry house, to be lying
in the grass, or rivers, or watch a sunset over the sea.
2.- What does Daniel like doing at weekends?
All the weekend he only like to be watching cricket all day in televisin, with the
curtains closed and the lights off, drinking beer or smoking cigarrettes.
3.- Why does Daniel not behave thoughtfully towards Bridget?
I think he is getting bored about their relationship and he dont want to do new things
with she he onlu want to the the old ones like watch TV.
