This document will help you to configure CUA in multiple

client/systems in your sap landscape.

All the a,o.e steps re2uired to configure CUA in your SAP landscape
0n this tutorial we are going to loo3 at CUA ,etween two clients
Lets see CUA configuration step by step.
1. SAP Landscape/single system wit multiple clients:
4e ha.e a sap system called 5C) with two clients.
0 am going to use % as central client and %1 as child client.

!. Access to SAP and tcodes SU"1# $%&'# $%('# SCC'#

SCUA# SCU)# S)&*:
0 6a.e access to SAP system 5C) and all the a,o.e tcodes.
+. Create system users in central system and cild
systems:
These system users re2uired for *+C configuration ,etween two
clients
Client 17
%
User 7

Client 27
%1
User 7

A,o.e are the usernames created in client % and %1
respecti.ely with ,elow roles.

SAP8"C8US*8CUA8C59T*AL8"#0ST
SAP8"C8US*8CUA8C59T*AL85:T5*9

User

'.
Create ./C connections between system:

0 ha.e created *+C connection ,etween these two clients and is
*/);A"AP< connections.

Please refer *+C configuration ,etween systems in the earlier post in

our ,log RFC Connections
&. Create logical system:
=ou need to create logical system for each client/ system and ma3e
sure it shouldn>t defer from *+C connections respecti.ely
1o to "#$% tcode and setup logical systems.

(.
Assign logical system to corresponding clients:
1o to tcode SCC% and assign the logical systems to each client/system
respecti.ely.

0.
Create model 1iew:

9ow we are all set to go for model .iew creation.
1o to tcode "#&% and clic3 change ,utton

And then
clic3
create
model
.iew
,utton and
enter the model .iew

5nter a
short
description
and
technical
name as
shown in the ,elow and hit o3 ,utton

2.
Add
$AP3 to model 1iew:
Select the model .iew and clic3 ?Add "AP0@.

=ou need
to enter
model
.iew!
sender/client! recei.er/ser.er o,Aect name/interface and method
As said initially 0 used % client as sender/central system and %1
client as recei.er/child systems
5nter the ?o,Aect name and 'ethod@ as per a,o.e figure and clic3 o3
,utton.
*. 4enerate partner profiles and distribute )odel 5iew:

4e are done with model .iew creation and "AP0.
9ow we need to generate partner profiles go to 5n.ironment and
clic3 generate partner profiles.

=ou will
get a
message saying partner profiles are generated newly if your
generating 1
st
time or you will get a system message li3e ,elow
figure.

Come
,ac3 to
the
"#&%
screen
and
select
the model .iew and go to 5dit 'odelBiew CCD select #istri, ute
This will distri, ute your model .iew to child systems and you will
get message li3e ,elow

So now
we are
done
with
model .iew creation and distri,ution.
1". Create CUA and distribution model:
1o to tcode SCUA and create distri, ution model
5nter the model .iew name which is created in "#&% earlier and clic3
create ,utton as shown in ,elow figure.

9ow you
will get a
screen li3e
,elow and
select the
child
systems in
the pop up
screen

Ence you
selected
the
system
name and
clic3 sa.e.
=ou will
get a
screen li3e
,elow if
you are
done
e.erything correctly which means your CUA configuration is done
successfully.

So we are
done with
CUA
configuration successfully.
11. )aintain parameter between central and cild systems:
Ence we are good with CUA configuration there are parameter setup
needs to ,e done from central system li3e which all are maintained in
central and child systems
1o to SCU' tcode Fclic3 to change mode for parameter maintenance

0t will gi.e
you ,road
idea a,out
what are
the
parameters
should ,e
maintained
centrally
and which
can ,e
maintained
child
system as
well as
glo,ally.
5G. *ole addition should ,e done from central system and password
reset and defaults can ,e maintained from ,oth centrally and local
Please let me 3now if you ha.e any suggestions and comments so 0
can impro.e the future post.
0 will post .ideo tutorial on this topic in upcoming days which will help
you to learn much more easily.
