T he enthusiasm and revival that
intensified during the forty days fasting prayer,
continued to flow during our 90
th
General
Convention at Kumbanadu. We are grateful to
God for the innumerable blessings He showered
upon us during every session of the Convention.
The traditional program pattern was altered, to
the surprise of many, in order to introduce new
ministers to the General Convention pulpit.
Though many preachers were new, they were
loyal to the Church and devoted servantsof God.
People of God received them with cheerfulness
and were open to listen to what the Spirit has to
speak through these preachers to the Church.
Our theme was Pentecostal The Holy
Spirit Upon You- and the glory of God filled
the temple as the Spirit flowed through the
Pandal, in all directions, session after session.
The vast increase in participation of people
and the renewed confidence that the people have
in the Church was evident by taking into
consideration all key factors, such as- preaching,
vast multitude of believers participating in all
sessions, serving of meals, the number of
viewers of the live streaming and the offerings
received.

IPCNR was addressed and healed. This paved
the way for 600 local churches to be brought
together and united with IPC as affiliated
churches for the Glory of God.
Ad hoc councils were formed under the
General council for our daughter organizations
such as PYPA, Sunday School and
SodariSamajam. These Ad hoc councils will take
the initiative to organize General Committees
for these organizations within a year.
In order to support and monitor the
development projects at IPC Headquarters,an ad
hoc NRI council was formed. This has no
administrative power but is an open donors
fellowship to include any IPC member (NRI)
with a vision to support the Church.
In connection to the 90
TH
General
Convention,the General Council had decided to
delegate Bro. Thomas Vadakkekut, the senior
most believer in the Council, to organize
charitable projects to help the deserving and the
needy members of our Church. A resolution to
honour senior Pastors in IPC, who have been
serving for more than half a century was
welcomed with great enthusiasm and pride. This
project is known as IPC Navathi Charitable
Project.
IPC Navathi Charitable Project and the
charities under this project were inaugurated
during a special meeting held in the Pandal on
Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. During this
function 90 senior Pastors were honoured and
financial aid was distributed to many of our
believers who are in dire need of charity.
The term Navathy was misunderstood by a
minority. The desire to reach out a helping hand
to our own brethren who are suffering, has been
wrongly interpreted by some people who have
commented negatively in the press with
prejudice. Recognizing and honouring the senior
Pastors of IPC has also been misinterpreted by
some people who have used the press to wrongly
judge this good gesture. Navathy project
continues for a year.

memorable and was an experience to cherish and
treasure for a very long time.

L oving Greetings in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ to all believers and pastors.
God had given us His abundant Grace to
conduct the Kumabanad convention in a fit-
ting manner.
I was personally assured by believers from
all over world through phone for the success
of the convention. I thank them for their
prayers. We have been convinced one week
fasting prayer before the starting of conven-
tion is an essential must for the future con-
ventions. The success of the convention was
not because of my or my colleagues ability.
Those who looked at Him became bright and
they were not ashamed I believe. Thanks to
Him.
Some believers didnt like the presence of
political leaders during convention meeting. I
assure you our spiritual atmosphere was not
tarnished because of their coming. They just
came to inaugurate the different charity
projects.
Wheever a convention is over the finan-
cial position would become at a lower ebb.

nancial liability and all present were ad-
equately fed. I would like to thank all who
prayed for it.
Some Christian newspapers published
negatively about my request for money. The
money received were not spent for any per-
sonal purpose. I would continue this request
for funds. It would be used for the projects of
IPC. Who will make the request for funds other
than myself? I am not holding this position
for sitting idle. There is no regular income or
funds for the expansion work of IPC. Some
decades back IPC as a whole was in poverty.
Then the leaders Pr. K.E. Abraham and Pr.
K.C. Cherian visited churches in U.S.A and
exposed our true condition that we were liv-
ing without any prayer halls, land etc. I also
remember Pastor Kodumthara Ommachen,
Ayyapilla etc for their dedication to build IPC.
They sold their property to build the IPC. Now
we have thousands of believers in strong fi-
nancial position. If a genuine request is made
tens of thousands will respond to it. Now we
dont have to make a financial request before
believers of other nationalities. Or what do
the critics say now? We have to make our
continuous financial request to foreigners.
Actually the critics are those who request
funds for their personal projects certainly not
for IPC. They want to obstruct the growth of
IPC. Let the believers may discern them.
When Nehemiah started Gods work.
Sanbelleth and Thobiath decided to obstruct
the programes according to their might. They
abused him, threatened him. But they had
Gods annointing and they finished the project.
So we dont have to fear. Our God is with us.
Let us personally encourage each other and
finish the work. And I request your support
and prayers.

Decisions taken at General Council Meeting
held on 27 January 2014
1. IPC General President Pr. Jacob John stated
that the, General convention was a great
blessing and expressed gratitude to all
council members for the effective team
work.
2. Regarding the non- receipt of notices
General Secretary Pr. K.C. John requested
all members to verify their postal address
and e-mail id.
3. General President declared the approval of
Jammu & Kashmir Mission Centre.
4. General Secretary explained IPC NRI
council has no administrative power but
functioning only to monitor and support the
financial activities of constructions,
developments and other project of IPC
General.
5. Since there are many false allegation
spreading against church developments, it
is essential to keep the IPC NRI council alive
and active.
6. Br. John Joseph, IPC General Treasurer
presented an approximate income &
expenditure account and he thanked all for
all the efforts for the success of General
Convention.
7. It is decided to give two-way sleeper ticket
to pastors coming from North India and
Malabar area from next year onwards if
funds are available.
8. It is decided to hold next General Council
meeting on Wednesday 16th April 2014
9. General Secretary briefed that Navathi is a
thanks giving charity Project of IPC General.
The Charity projects would be completed
within a year.
10. General Council elected a subcommittee to
draft the amendments to the respective
clauses the subcommittee have the following
members.

Kuruvilla, c) Pr. Valson Abraham, d) Pr. K.

Johnson Samuel.
11. Council authorized executives to raise fund
to solve the problem of parking by
purchasing land before next IPC of General
Convention.
12. Council permitted IPC Prayer and Revival
Board to arrange prayer and revival
meetings in different states of India without
any financial liabilities to General Council.
13. Pastor John Varughese explained the
situations in Assam and decided to ask the
church to be under the IPC Assam state.
14. Letter from Orissa state was read. Regarding
the general council membership of Pr. Don
Kuruvilla the issue was to be discussed in
the state council
May I take this opportunity to restate and
reaffirm that our sole mission is to fulfill the
purpose of God in IPC To Win The Lost At
Any Cost. IPC Church was again humbly on its
knees to glorify the Almighty in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit inspired.
As the 90

General Convention came to a
close, the people of God returned to their mission
field with double portion of the anointing of God.
Excellent reports came pouring in, from far and
wide, filled with excitement about the spiritual
renewal and blessings received as the Word was
proclaimed by the servants of God. Lives were
transformed not only for the multitudes who
gathered at Kumbanadu but also for the believers
who attend the Convention from the comfort of
their homes through the live broadcasting of the
sermons.

th
Annual General
Convention of IPC was held from 19
th
to 26
th
January 2014 at Hebronpuram Kumbanad.
There was a weeklong fasting and prayer
meeting held prior to the General Convention,
which was an initial attempt in the History
of IPC. Gods servants from in and outside
of India preached the Word of God in
different sessions on the theme Holy Spirit
in You. The 90
th
year special program was
inaugurated on 25
th
Saturday which will
continue for a year. Many charitable and
benevolent schemes were planned for the
growth of the church and for the comfort of
the believers. Various remarkable
occurrences were taken place during this
ninetieth convention.
A spacious canopy was arranged to
accommodate more audience to hear the word
of God this year. The place previously used
for car parking and the side roads were also
totally used for providing space for thousands
of participants. People from main line
churches attended the convention and
carefully enjoyed the Word of God. Many
unbelievers also attended the Convention
with fervor this year.
The messages based on the theme
enabled to have a profound study on various
activities and the transforming power of the
Holy Spirit in human life. When the gifted
servants of God expounded the topic in the
power of Holy Spirit opened the believers an
opportunity to hear authentic and relevant
word of God.
It was distinct this year that there were
no foreign missionaries and many new
preachers have emerged to the stage. Chosen
preachers representing from various states and
regions delivered the Word of God. Scholars
and gifted Gods servants jointly encamped in
this convention. Holy Spirit controlled

A blessed and organized choir performed
the music ministry in this convention. The
theme song O Holy Spirit was remarkable
and blessed. It gave the believers an opportunity
to worship the Lord in the Spirit and could learn
new songs and old songs with its freshness. The
music ministry was more appreciable because
the spirit filled choir group gave more
importance to spiritual worship.
Providing free food to all participants of
the convention was remarkable and distinct this
year. Though there were registration and meal
coupons provided, yet everybody has the access
to the dining hall always for meals. The mess
was arranged away from the convention venue
did not make any mess to the convention.
People from distant places were provided food
was a blessing to them because they used to
get mean food paying heavy charges from the
temporary hotels.
Sufficient transportations and
accommodations were arranged in this 90

Transportation was provided to various places
of accommodation to their convenience.
Transportation provided for believers after the
night meetings were also a blessing to the
believers.
It was notable that sufficient drinking
water was provided in the compound and the
services of dedicated volunteers.
It is praiseworthy that God has protected
us from all kinds of accidents and unexpected
troubles. There were such incidents happened
in the previous years.
It was appreciable that each and every
interval was utilized for preaching the Word
and announcements made were very limited
to redeem time. The General council could
control everything smoothly by the selfless
support of the state council members. The
united effort made everything a success.
The Lords Table was conducted in an
organized way enabled to finish it within forty
minutes. The concluding message was
edifying and encouraging.
Though the critics can point out faults
and defects yet it was an organized and
disciplined General convention. In this
ninetieth year so many new schemes are
planned for the growth and development of
the Church
