1 Introduction to computer hardware and softwares used for drafting: Introduction of
hardware of computers and software’s used for drafting and presentation of an architectural
drawing. Introduction to CAD software, All the commands in latest version of CAD in 2-D
and their application to make drawings and working drawings.
2 Detailed study of softwares used for drafting: Introduction to layers, editing
techniques, printing and plotting. Drawing simple 3D forms.
3 Detailed study of softwares used for making presentations and general
administrative work: Preparation of text or documents by using word processor software.
e.g. MS WORD, LOTUS WORDPRO etc. Analysis of collected data in the form of
spreadsheets and its presentation through graphs, pie charts etc. e.g. MS EXCEL, LOTUS
123 etc. Preparing advanced presentations by making slide show using presentation
software. e.g. MS POWERPOINT, MACROMEDIA DIRECTOR, PHOTOSHOP,
