CDP Keypad - Arrow keys , , , .

Use these
keys to scroll up/down thru menus, scroll
information on/off the display for reading and/or to
move the cursor (when displayed) right or left.
CDP Keypad - Center Select Key . Use this key to
select an item, or action on the line indicated by the
on screen * (asterisk character). A press and hold of
the key for 2 seconds returns to the Main Menu.
DVI Keypad Modes - Changing Modes
The DVI Alpha-Numeric Keypad operates in Text or
Number mode. Menus that allow changing the mode
display an upward arrow with either Txt, or Num
in the displays top right corner. Press and hold the
key for 2 seconds to change the mode.
DVI Keypad (Number Mode Operation) Keys 0 to
9 and the * and # Key
Press / release a key to enter its indicated number
into the current on-screen cursor position. Press the
0 key also labeled SP/BK twice in quick succession
to backspace (BK) over anything already entered to
erase it (Note: this works the same in text mode) Use
the key to delete a previous entry when in
manual dial mode.
DVI Keypad (Text Mode Operation) All Keys and
the * and # Keys
Press / release a key once to enter the first letter
indicated on a keys label into the on screen cursor
position. Press / release a key quickly in succession
to enter other letters shown on a keys label (e.g.
press / release the key labeled DEF quickly 3 times to
enter the letter F).
The key labeled with 1@_ makes many punctuation
characters such as ?, @ - ! , etc. available via a quick
succession of key presses. Press/release quickly in
succession to enter the desired character.
Calling to the Aircraft - Dial the International Direct
Dialing (IDD) prefix of the country you are calling
from (e.g. 011 for Canada/US, 00 for Germany, 019
for Cuba) followed by the ISATs specified phone
number e.g. dial 011881631010616 to call the
Aircraft/ISAT with phone number 881631010616
from USA or Canada.
Calling from the Aircraft - Enter 00 then the
number(s) for the country code you are calling to
(e.g. 1 for Canada / US), followed by the area code
and local number desired, then press or the DVI
Send key to initiate the call. E.g. dial 00 1 250 765
2393 followed by Send or to call SkyTrac Systems
Ltd in Kelowna, BC, Canada from any ISAT.
Calling Aircraft to Aircraft (ISAT to ISAT) Dial 00
then the full phone number for the ISAT you are
calling then press or DVI Send key to initiate the
call. The ISAT phone number will start with 8816 or
8817. E.g. enter 00881631010614 followed by Send,
to call to ISAT 881631010614 from any other ISAT.
Re-Dial - Press 0 followed by the Send or key
from the Main Menu, to redial the last number
called

Phone Calling
Note: It may take several seconds for a Satellite
Phone Call to be connected
Answer incoming calls Press / release the CDPs
Key or DVI Send key to answer an incoming call,
which is indicated by a displayed message, flashing
indicator, and a ring tone in the head set.
Terminating a Call Press / release the CDPs Key
or DVI Send key to hang up a call.
Messaging
Reading Received Email Messages Scroll to Inbox
(only avail if there are messages to view) or the Email
mail menu, press to select it and press again to
select Inbox. Now scroll to choose the message to
be read, press to select it, scroll to the Read
option and press , use the , , keys to view the
message Title, Subject, and Body.
Replying to Email Manual Reply Select an email
from the inbox, then scroll to Reply , press ,then
enter the manual reply text from the keypad, and
press to send the response, or use Quick Mail
Reply select an email from the inbox, and then
scroll to Quick Mail Reply and press , then scroll
to any preconfigured quick messages and press to
select the quick message, send its content as the
email response
Sending Preconfigured Quick Mail Messages
Select Quick Mail, scroll to the desired message and
press to select it. Press Send to send it to the
default recipient or press to send it using the
Address Book Option, or by entering an address. The
address book option allows choosing a recipient
from the address book, followed by pressing to
send the quick message to the selected recipient.
