5. ARE THERE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH BEING IN THE PERFORMANCES?
Yes. All fees include production costs, costume rental, and volunteer background checks. All costs are per person, per role. You may pay by check, Visa, or MasterCard. (Checks made to PDM PRODUCTIONS, INC.)
All costumes and accessories must be returned in the original condition or an additional $50.00 fee will be charged. Costume fees include the creation or purchase of a new costume and any related accessories, as well as any alterations, repairs, replacement and cleaning of existing pieces. Additionally, depending on the role, you may need to purchase specific dance shoes, tights, and/or leg wear for the performances. (Each cast member will receive 1 souvenir program as a keepsake of their participation.)
OPTIONAL FEE: If you have a child cast in the production, it is required that a parent or family member volunteer in some capacity. You have the option of paying a $100.00 Volunteer Fee, if you are unable to donate your time and energies to the production. (We prefer to have use of your time and talents!!)
6. IS THERE FINANCIAL AID OR SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?
Yes. There are both opportunities available. Financial aid is by request. You will need to fill out the required forms. Maximum amount of this aid is 50%. We also offer the opportunity to file for a Need scholarship. (Maximum is up to 100%.) An individual may be awarded a Merit scholarship. (All of the details about the scholarships can be found on our website, www.PDMproductionsva.org)
7. WHEN ARE THE RESULTS OF THE AUDITIONS POSTED AND HOW ARE WE NOTIFIED?
Results will be posted on Wednesday, September 17 th , by 10:00 pm. You will receive notification in your email in-box. Results will also be posted on the board at Prestige Dance.
8. WHERE AND WHEN WILL REHEARSALS TAKE PLACE?
All rehearsals are at Prestige Dance, where the auditions take place. They will begin on Saturday, September 20 th . Details will be in your email in-box and on the board at Prestige Dance. NOTE: There will be a very important parent/guardian meeting on Friday, September 19 th . At this time all forms and payments will be due. If you are applying for financial aid or a Need scholarship, those forms must be received no later than Sunday, September14th, in order to receive a determination.

9. ARE PARENTS AND OTHERS PERMITTED TO WATCH THE AUDITIONS OR REHEARSALS?
Only parents and others who are assisting in a volunteer capacity of some kind will be permitted into the audition/ rehearsal space. There are eating and shopping establishments near the studio in both the east- ward and westward directions. (More information will be available during the parent meeting.)
10. ARE PARENTS REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER?
Please see #5, under OPTIONAL FEE. Also, by signing up for at least 6 hours or more, you will be automatically entered into our volunteer member raffle. 5 winners will be drawn. Each will receive 4 tickets to one of the performances of their choice. Without the aid of volunteers we would not be able to produce a show of this size. Please seriously consider the necessity of your help. No amount of time is too small.
11. HOW WILL PARTICIPANTS BE MONITORED WHILE IN, OR OUT, OF REHEARSALS?
While in rehearsals, all participants are overseen either by the person conducting the rehearsal or by volunteers in the reception area. When a participants rehearsal time is scheduled to end, a parent or guardian (that has been predetermined) will be responsible to pick up the participant. Otherwise they will need to remain on the premises until a parent arrive. A system of communication will have been established and reviewed by all staff and volunteers prior to the start of rehearsals. All participants will need to be signed in and out of rehearsals and performances. Once an individual is signed out, PDM PRODUCTIONS, INC., is no longer under any obligation to be responsible for their well being. Unless we have something in writing, no one will be able to leave or carpool with another individual or another family. The listed parent or guardian will be the responsible party for release from rehearsals. (This will be strictly adhered to.)
12. ARE PARENTS REQUIRED TO STAY ONSITE IF THEY ARE NOT A REHEARSAL VOLUNTEER?
No they are not. However, they will need to follow the procedure for signing out, as stated above.
13. WHAT IS THE PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF PROCEDURE?
This will be discussed in the parent/guardian meeting on Friday, September 19 th ; 6:00-7:30pm.

14. WHAT IS THE PROTOCOL IF WE HAVE QUESTIONS OR IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
If there are any questions regarding the auditions, rehearsals, or the performances, we are asking that you send an email to info@pdmproductionsva.com and cc: to ttbub@comcast.net. In case of an emergency, or if there is a need to have a response within 8 hrs, we ask that along with emails, you also call or send a text message to: (804) 874-2195 and (804) 874-2196.
We will have weekly updates, and any changes to the schedule, will be sent to your email. In case of an emergency, we will be following the same procedure that we are asking you to adhere to by sending an email and phone call. You may also be receiving a text message.
15. REMINDERS
Please take your time reading through the information completely and carefully.
There will be an Audition Application and Contract of Commitment Form that will need to be filled out and brought with you to the auditions on Sept.13 or 14, 2014.
