government suppose do be say make them deliver social
services Ior the people wey dey local level. But this no be
wetin dem dey do Ior Naija sake oI say problems Iull
everywhere. Among these problems na wastage oI public
Iunds, dip dip corruption Ior dem government, big big oga no
dey gree talk the truth, some people no even care Ior wetin
dey shelle, poverty and wetin oyinbo people dey call
underdevelopment. Na this make HDI Budget Watch project
talk say dem wan help to commot this e no consign me
attitute when our country people get especially Ior our local

As CBN put am inside their provisional data, 'aggregate
expenditure oI the Federal Government be N2,023.80billion or
10.6 per cent oI GDP in the Iirst halI oI 2012. Among the total
money wey dem release, recurrent and capital expenditures be
79.5 and 12.8 per cent, while transIers be the balance, 7.7 per
cent. The economic classiIication oI the recurrent expenditure
show say na N1,194.31billion or 6.2 per cent oI GDP dem spend
on top goods and services, N314.46 billion or 1.6 per cent oI GDP
on top interest payments, while transIers chop N99.67 billion or
0.5 per cent oI GDP. The expenditure on social and community
services reduce by 9.6 per cent to N259.56 billionor 1.4 per cent oI
GDPas against the N287.08 billion or 1.6 per cent oI GDPwey we
record Ior 2011. Similarly, the expenditure on economic services
reduce by 33.2 per cent to N130.46 billion or 0.7 per cent oI GDP,
Irom N195.35 billion or 1.1 per cent oI GDP in the Iirst-halI oI
2011.

services Iell by 17.7 per cent belowits level in the Iirst halI oI 2011
to N97.82 billion or 0.5 per cent oI GDP and accounted Ior 37.7
per cent oI the total releases. Social and community services
accounted Ior 15.3 per cent oI the total but declined by 27.8 per
cent Irom the level Ior the corresponding period oI 2011 to N39.62
billion or 0.2 per cent oI GDP in the Iirst halI oI 2012. The outlay
on administration accounted Ior 43.8 per cent oI the total and
decreased by 4.7 per cent to N113.61 billion or 0.6 per cent oI
GDP. An overall total capital release at N259.25 billion was 38.7
per cent oI the proportionate budget estimate oI N669.99 billion in
the Iirst-halI oI 2012.
