1. What does HDD mean? What is the fastest HDD right now?

HDD means or stands for High-Definition Display which is a video of higher

interface on all other Mac-models.

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is better than DVI or VGA port
because it is electrically compatible with the CEA-861 signals used by
the digital visual interface (DVI) and no signal conversion is needed and nor is
there a loss of video quality when DVI to HDMI adapter is used.

7. Why did Apple take so long to support HDMI? USB 3.0?
Apple took so long to support HDMI and USB3 because old Apple project used
Thunderbolt which is an interconnect technology developed by Intel in
cooperation with Apple. You can also connect USB and FireWire peripherals
via Thunderbolt as long as you have proper adapter. But later apple support
HDMI and USB 3 which are more functioning and speed than thunderbolt.

killed even though many people said it was better?
The first Blu-Ray was invented by SONY in October 2000. The other standard
that Blu-Ray killed was HDVD which was considered for better.
