Presidential Proclamation No. 711 declares every 3'd week of
fanuary
x Autism
Consciousness Week. This yearly observance is aimed to develop awareness on the problems of
autistic persons, and providing them with a supportive environment to live with dignity.
In harmony with this objective, this year's observance carries the theme, "Katuparan ng
Mga Karapatan ngPilipiaoag MayAutisma IsulongMo, Ngayon Nd".
In rhis connection, all local chief orecutives are hereby encouraged to participate in the
above-said obsewance by undertaking simple but meaningful activities to include, but not limited
to the following:
1. Display of Autism Consciousness Week Obseruance advocacy streamer in strategic
places of the citylmunicipal hall. The design of the streamer is downloadable at
www.ncda.gov.ph;
2. Inclusion of Auticm Consciousness Week Observance advocacy in LGtIs activities;
3. Uploading related information in LGU website; and
4. Providing web-links with the National Council on Disability Affairs' website.
All DILG Regional Directors and the ARMM Regional Governor are hereby directed to
cause the widest dissemination of this Circular, to local governments within their areas of
responsibilities.
Furrher, all concerned are hereby advised to monitor LGUs' activities supportive to said
observance. A Regional Summaty Reportto capture information in the attached form shall reach
the office of the National Council on Disability Afrfairs, NCDA Building, Isidora $treet, Holy
Spirit,
Qpezon
Ciry on or before February 15, 2014, or email at council@ncda.gov.ph, copy
furnished the Bureau of Local Government Supervision, this Department.
