PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING TRANSCRIPTS
(Required for Higher Studies and Sending to Foreign Universities)
01. The Student shall apply for the issue of Transcripts in the prescribed application available with
the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
02. The Candidate should submit the above said application in person at the office of the Controller
of Examinations.
03. Requests for transcripts by a third party must bear the students authorization. (i.e. the
authorization letter)
04. The applicant should have identified the Universities for which he/she wants to apply. If he/she
wants transcripts to be put inside cover, sealed and signed, the names and address of such
University shall be written on the covers.
05. Student should be attached 1 set of copy of all semester Grade sheet / Mark sheet or
Consolidated Grade / Mark sheet. (up to last appearance) with the application form
06. The fee should be paid in the form of Demand Draft only (any nationalized bank) drew in
favor of SRMIST Examinations payable at Chennai.
07. a) The Fees for issue of Transcripts is ` 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) per set.
b) Transcript will be issued only in multiples of 2.
c) No single transcript will be issued under any circumstances.
08. If the candidate opt for collecting the certificates by post, he / she should pay additional
amount for ` 300/- for Postal Charges (within India only). This amount should be added
along with fee for correction and will be accepted only in the form of Demand Draft.
09. Normal processing time required upon receipt of application form for transcript is
Seven working days (Transcript requests are processed in the order of receipt and the
transcripts have to be collected within seven working days)
10. Any request for alternative arrangement will NOT be accepted once the application form is
submitted.
11. The process of the application will be delayed, if the information furnished is incomplete.
12. The University reserves the right to withhold issuance of a transcript to a student who has not
paid fees or other fees owed to the University, or who has failed to discharge all obligations
towards the University.
