BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS AND SAFETIES ETC.

1. WINDING GEAR :-

Winding Gear is the worm & worm wheel type, fitted with thrust ball
bearing of foreign make. The worm shaft is turned on a single forge of high
tensile steel & worm wheel rim of centrifugally cast phosphor bronze,
mounted in cast iron dust & leakproof housing to ensure the highest
efficiency & noiseless running. Traction sheave & worm wheel are both
securely mounted on a substantial steel foundation. The shaft is supported
with bearing designed to give a long life. Efficient lubrication of all moving
parts in the gear units are adequately provided together with appropriate oil
feed channels.

2. ELECTRIC MOTOR :-

Specially designed for heavy lift duty & runs smoothly & sparklessly under
load up to its maximum capacity in either direction, with ample power to
deal with occasional overload.

3. ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKES :-

The Electromagnetic brakes are operated on a drum on the worm shaft.

Generally formed by the two halves of the face plate coupling between the
worm & motor shafts & applied by a strong compressing spring. The brake
shoes will be faced with best quality friction material and will be arranged to
take up wear & tear automatically when occurs, so that adjustment of the
brakes are necessary only for long intervals.

4. CONTROLLER :-

The control panel will be operated on 110Volts DC with solid state

components for trouble-free & noiseless operation with maximum efficiency
and longer life. This will be mounted on Floor or wall with phase reversal
and overload protection etc. Microprocessor based control panel with all
international lift logics available as built in feature.

5. CAR FRAME & SAFETY :-

This will be made of structural steel to support the car platform and
enclosure with safety device underneath the frame. Safety will be
provided to stop the lift whenever excessive descending speed is attained.
This will be achieved by means of a governor installed in the machine
room connected to the car by means of steel wire rope with necessary
devices. Safety gear contact will be mounted on the car top frame to cut
off the control supply and stopping the lift prior to the application of the
safety gear.

6. CAR GUIDE :-

Will be heavy duty “T” Section steel guide machined throughout the
length of the lift shaft complete with fish plates, firmly fixed on M.S.
brackets with guide clips.

7. COUNTER WEIGHT GUIDES :-

Will be throughout the length of the lift shaft complete with fish plates
firmly fixed on M.S. brackets with guide clips.

8. BUFFERS :-

Coiled spring buffer for car and counter weight will be fitted in the lift pit
on concrete blocks with suitable channel to take the full load of the car
or counter weight for lifts upto a speed of 2m/ sec.

9. COUNTER WEIGHT :-

Cast iron or M.S. balance weight will be provided of neat appearance

fitted inside a steel frame & arranged so as to counter balance the weight
of car, plus one half of the usual working load. The counter frame is
fitted with 4 adjustable guide shoes and adequate arrangements will be
provided for the suspension rope.

10. MAIN SUSPENSION ROPE :-

The main suspension rope will be a steel traction rope of the adequate
construction. The ropes will be facilitated to the top car frame and to the
counter weight frame by means of “I” Bolts with adequate springs and
suitable fixtures to minimize jerks at starting and stopping.

11. CAR :-

Width, depth & height will be as per the rules , and regulation of the
Bombay Lift Act. / I.S.I. The quality of the platform and cabin will be of
a very high standard for long lasting.

12. CAR DOOR (MANUAL) :-

Provide with top hung steel collapsible gate, which runs on ball bearings,
and is arranged with a special bottom track made of aluminum electric
contact to meet the requirements of safety, so that the lift will not move
unless the door is closed.

13. LANDING DOOR (MANUAL) :-

Each landing entrance is provided with a top hung steel collapsible gate
fitted with a ball bearing rollers. Top or hinged door with/ without door
closures. An electromechanical lock designed to prevent the car being
moved until door is opened. With this system, unless the car is opposite
floor level landing door will not open.

14. RETIRING CAM :-

Will be mounted on the top of the car & will be working in

electromagnetic solenoid. This is facilitated to avoid any rubbing noise
in the hoistway during the lift travel and will operate gates when the car
is idle at the opposite landing. By this nobody can open the landing gate
when the lift is on other landing.

15. WIRING :-
We shall be using only copper wire of appropriate size for different
circuits. All wiring will be done in the trunking from machine room to
half way junction box and necessary tapping will be taken to the landing
boxes and locks by means of flexible conductors with suitable lugs.

16. LANDING OPERATING PANEL :-

Flush mounted in the wall with one button to call the lift, up-down
direction indicators.

17. CAR OPERATING PANEL :-

This panel is flush mounted in the car incorporated with floor buttons,
emergency stop, alarm buttons, position indicators etc. depending upon
the operation.

18. FINAL LIMITS :-

This will be provided on two extreme landing in the hoistway to stop the
lift from hitting the buffers and the roof of the hoistway.

PRICE:-

EXCISE DUTY: - The above offer is exclusive of Excise duty. – Included

TERMS OF PAYMENTS :-

1. 30% of value of the interest free advance along with your valued purchase
order.
2. 30% of value of the order on receipt of first consignment of material at site.
3. 30% of value of the order on receipt of second consignment of material at
site.
4. 10% on erection & commissioning, but before handing over of the lift to
you.

TRANSIT INSURANCE:-
To be arrange by you. The material so dispatched will be entirely at owners risk
& we will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the same, part or full.

PRICE ESCALATION:-
Although we will try to maintain the price as per our offer. We will be compelled
to revise our price, only if cost of raw materials increase due to market
fluctuations. (Three Months Validity)

OVERDUES:-
In the event of any payment outstanding for more than a fortnight from the due
date, we reserve the right to claim interest at 24% per annum, thereon.

STORAGE & ACCOMMODATION :-
To enable storage of the lift material you will arrange a room having area
not less than 40sq.m per lift. Lock & key will be provided to us until
installation of the lift. You will also arrange for accommodation ( complete
with light, running water & sanitary facility) near about your site of
installation, to our Personnel who will be calling on you for the purpose as
and when required, free of cost.

SCHEDULE OF INSTALLATION :-

1. The approved building plans having all details of the pit & machine
room to be furnished by you within 10 days from the date of receipt of
your order.

2. After that the layout drawing will be supplied by us with in one month.

3. Approval of layout drawing & finalization of all details by you within

one week.

4. After the site i.e. the pit, the lift shaft & machine room should be made
available by you along with three phase power supply in machine room
with in one week.

5. The installation work will be completed within 2 months after

completion of above work.

6. We shall not be responsible for delay in installation of lift in following

cases
a) If the payments are not made as per the terms.
b) If the three phase supply in machine room is not provided in time.
c) If the necessary builders work is not completed in time.
d) If formalities of licencing are delayed.
e) In the event of strikes, lockouts, power shortage, power failure,
fire, destruction, theft, floods, riots, war, civil commotion,
breakdown or act of god or any other reasons beyond our control.

SURPLUS MATERIALS :-
Any surplus materials as well as tools & tackles will remain our property but
under your care until such time the same is removed by us at the earliest
convenience.

HANDING OVER OF THE LIFT :-
We will handover the lift as soon as our personnel have tested the same.
You will under take not to use the lift, until it is been certified for the use.

WARRANTEE :-
All components of the lifts are guaranteed for any manufacturing defect for a
period of 12 months from the date of commissioning or issuing licence
which ever is earlier.

TITLE OF PROPERTY :-
Any material supplied by us shall remain our property, until payment is
received in full and the lift is handed over. We reserve the right to remove
any equipment supplied by us at your cost in case of default of any payments
by you irrespective of the manner of attachment to the reality, sale mortgage
or lease of the premises.

ARBITRATION :-
Arbitration in the event of any dispute arising between the parties in respect
of this contract, the same shall be conveyed to either party in writing. The
same shall be referred to an arbitration in accordance with provisions of
Indian Arbitration Act. All Proceedings legal or amicable related to this
contract shall be within the jurisdiction of Pune only.

CANCELLATION OF CONTRACT :-

In the event of cancellation of contract we shall charge you as follows :-

1. 10% of contract value if the order is cancelled before the general

arrangement drawing is submitted for approval.
2. 20% of the contract value if the order is cancelled within one month
after the approval of G.A. Drawing.
3. 50% of the contract value if the order is cancelled after receipt of first
consignment of material on site.
4. 90% of the contract value if the order is cancelled after the receipt of
Second consignment of material on site.

 BUILDER’S WORK

You will provide the following at your cost.

1. TO DESIGN AND FURNISH :-

A property framed and enclosed legal lift shaft/ structure including, if
necessary, its extension above the roof required to withstand the
forces and loads resulting from the use of the lift. The lift shaft
should be lighted and be treated and painted to minimize the
circulation of dust.

2. TO FURNISH AND INSTALL :-

M.S. channel / beams for fixing guide brackets in the lift shaft if
required as per our design.

3. TO FURNISH :-
A lift pit of proper and legal depth below landing and if required
suitable, drains and water-proofing. In addition a steel ladder should
be furnished
for access to the pit.

4. TO FURNISH :-
A properly lighted and ventilated fire proof machine room (of
sufficient size to accommodate our equipment) including concrete
floor to withstand loads as per our design as shown in our layout
drawing and to furnish proper access there to. The machine room
walls, floor and ceiling should be treated and painted to minimize
accumulation and circulation of dust.

5. TO FURNISH AND INSTALL :-

The necessary lift shaft door frames and architraves.

6. TO PROVIDE :-
A continues sill bearing area lift shaft entrance of such construction as
to assure ,secure, anchorage and support for each sill.

7. TO DO :-
All painting except of lift material.

8. TO FURNISH :-
Required power in the machine room terminating in suitable main
switch for power and light circuit breakers, lightning arresters,
suitable earthing leads to machine room and other electrical protective
devices necessary to meet legal code requirements.

9. TO FURNISH :-
During the erection of lift, electric power of the necessary
characteristic to provide illumination and for operation of tools, if
required and current for starting, testing and adjusting the lift.

10. TO GUARD AND PROTECT :-

Lift shaft and machine room.

11. TO PAY :-
All fees that may be required in connection with erection or
preparation of the structure in which the lift equipment is to be erected
including any general permit / certificate fees usually billed by
Government agency directly to the owner also including licence fees
for the installation or inspection of the lift equipment.

12. TO PROVIDE :-
Hoisting hook or hoisting beam in the machine room ceiling suitable
for a load of 1000 kg. You will also provide the following before/
during the erection of the lift at your cost.

a) TO PROVIDE scaffolding as per our requirement in the shaft

during the erection period and to remove the same thereafter
(scaffolding will remain the property of the party who provides it.)

b) TO DO all cutting of wall, floor or partition together with any

repairs made necessary thereby, including grouting of all bolts,
brackets, indicators and push button boxes, etc. in position.

c) TO DESIGN & FURNISH RCC soccles for buffers in the lift pit
and for bed blocks in the machine room.

d) TO FURNISH & INSTALL M.S. channel / beam for fixing

machine in the machine room.

 SPECIAL MENTION

1. The entity of this contract is entire and indivisible. It does not amount
to sale of any materials or part thereof. The lift when installed &
commissioned duly tested & certified for use will be passed on to the
owner on receipt of full contractual amount by us.

2. In the event of delay on your side of any reason what so ever, we

reserve the right to claim compensation to the extent of revision of the
contractual amount.

3. In the event of we having completed the work of installed of the lift at

your site, but lift cannot be commissioned due to reasons beyond our
control, we will be entitled to the Balance payment in full and final
settlement of the contractual amount.

4. We shall not be liable for any loss, damage of delay due to any cause
beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to lack of
shipping space, embargos, acts of government, strikes, lockout, fire,
accident, explosion, theft, floods, riots, civil commotion, war,
malicious mischief, power shortage delay in supplies of raw materials
and components either at our supplier’s work or our work due to any
or all of the reasons such as energy crisis, power cut, rail/ road
transporters strike, go slow, bands, non availability of essential raw
materials, and / or events of breakdowns in the process, act of God or
action of the states enemies, or act of the third party. If damage
occurs, to the materials tools & works, in the premises from any such
cases, you shall compensate us thereby.

5. We shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage by any reasons of
any act, neglect or default in our part or in the part of the agents,
servants, or workmen suffered by yourself or by any other inspite of
the fact that such person or persons might, prefer a claim for damages
or compensation against, due successfully or otherwise, without in
any way limiting the operation of the foregoing provisions, you may
note that we will not liable in any event for indirect or consequential
loss or damages.
6. Our offer is prepared keeping in view the present rules and regulation
in force. Hence any addition requirement to be met at the time of
installation, but not anticipated will be at extra cost.
