How Create Storage Group:

1. A Storage Group is a logical group of Symmetrix devices that are managed together. It is
common to assign a storage group to a usiness application.
!. Storage groups are used oth in "AS# and in Autoprovisoining. $evices can e shared
etween storage groups. How ever they can only elong to one storage group that is eing
managed y "AS#.
How to Associate Storage Groups:
1. %ne or more Storage Groups can e associated with a "AS# policy.
!. A &riority of 1 'high() ! 'medium() or * 'low( must e assigned with the storage group at
the time of association
*. #he devices in the Storage Group are mar+ed as eing out of policy. #hat is ecause ,AI$-.
$evices are not part of the 1//"C1//SA#A &olicy.
0. Since "AS# is enaled) the "AS# procedure will collect statistics for aout two hours and
move the devices as and when the capacity ased algoritm is run.

Here we create a policy ./"C./SA#A3;& that states that ./< of thin device storage associated

Session view.
How to Create a $ata $evice:
