Mission, Objectives and Strategies of the Organization

The organization is objecting to become one of the prime leaders in the industry of
material handling and lifting equipment. It is even expanding in the other arenas such as
automobiles spares and herbal solutions for plants which are doing a brisk business.

Functions of various departments and their managers

Marketing Manager:

Conducting Market Research

Marketing managers carry out market research to gain a clear understanding of what an
organization's customers really want. Marketing research enables these managers to
identify new market opportunities, helping the organization create a market niche for its
products or services. Market research also involves studying the organization's
competitors so as to develop superior products and employ efficient marketing
techniques. Companies conduct market research using questionnaires, face-to-face
interviews or analyzing the buying habits of consumers.
Developing the Marketing Strategy

Marketing managers are responsible for developing marketing strategies for their
organizations. These strategies outline clearly how an organization will promote its
products and services to its target market with an aim of increasing its sales volumes
and maintaining a competitive edge over its competitors.
Customer Relationship Management

The marketing manager performs the function of championing customer relationship
management in the organization. The marketing manager collects this information from
the organization's customer database to help create a customer satisfaction survey.
Marketing managers then share this information with other employees to ensure they
offer excellent customer service to their clients in order to build lasting relationships.
Employee Management

Marketing managers are in charge of the marketing department and therefore are
responsible for employees within their department. They assign duties and set targets
for departmental staff. It is also the function of marketing managers to perform periodic
performance evaluations of the staff working for them.
Identifying New Business Opportunities

Marketing managers analyze market trends with an aim of identifying unexploited or
new markets for the organization's products and services. Through studying the
purchasing patterns of consumers, they can identify the peak and off-peak demand
periods for their products. By employing sales forecasting, they can estimate future
performance of the organization's products. Also through market analysis and
forecasting, they can develop strategies to ensure the organization remains competitive.

Accounts Manager:
Client Communication
The responsibilities of an account manager vary depending on the nature of the
business. The account manager builds client relationship by acting as the interface
between the customer service teams and sales teams within a company. The goal is to
maintain the company's existing relationship with a client or group of clients, so that they
will continue using the company for business. The account manager also tries to identify
potential new clients and business opportunities and to persuade new customers to
place business with the company
Quotas
In most organizations, an account manager must maintain or exceed a minimum
amount of sales. This number is called a quota, which is communicated to him by a
sales manager. Quite often, his compensation directly corresponds with his ability to
meet this requirement. In addition to commission, it is not uncommon for deferred
compensation such as financial bonuses or valuable merchandise to be awarded to
those account managers who exceed their quota. Failure to meet this requirement may
result in an account manager being put onto performance probation. Repeated failure
typically leads to termination.
Reporting
An account manager is often required to prepare various reports surrounding the
metrics of the sales department: quarterly sales results, annual forecasts and account
status reports are just a few examples. Once created, these documents are presented
to senior management. Although an account manager may rely on the support of an
administrative professional, such as a sales coordinator, to perform this task, it is not
uncommon for her to perform this duty herself, particularly if he is employed in a smaller
organization or at a lower professional level. Knowledge of computer programs such as
Microsoft Excel is typically required to complete reporting tasks.

Administration Manager:
Successful managers are very self-disciplined, intelligent, responsible and presentable
people. An Administrative Manager would need to be positive, enthusiastic, have good
leadership skills, get on well with people, be firm but just and have the ability and
perseverance to try and help the company achieve their goals.
An admin manager extends administrative support to departments dealing with the task
of editing, typing, mailing and filing. He keeps an account of the documentation details
and every kind of information relating to products, sales, support and cost of the
company. He must possess good observation power. He monitors the work of back
office personnel and supervises the performance of his assistants, clerks, coders, typist
and other members of the organization. He is responsible for scheduling meetings,
checking product quality and deadlines of his sub-ordinates. He is answerable to inter-
office queries and ensures that there is effective communication of operational data to
the management section.
The admin manager provides support to other departments of the organization and
manages projects of the company. He has the responsibility of reviewing and managing
office budget and expenditure. He should be able to motivate people and make them
feel that they are an important cog in the business wheel. The employees should know
that management is trying their best to make life for everyone in the company as
profitable, productive and enjoyable as possible, so that they will be much more likely to
concentrate on doing their best.
Every worker in a business is given a specific task or tasks to do by the manager who
does the planning, coordinating and organizing of activities to reach the required goals
and he would be the one to give orders and exercise control over the entire process.
Admin manager is also responsible for training his subordinates and evaluating their
performance as they participate in growth of the organization. He analyzes the
attendance and regularity of employees in the organization.

Chief Technical Manager:
A chief technical manager is an executive-level position in a company or other entity
whose occupant is focused on scientific and technological issues within an organization.
The role became prominent with the ascent of the information technology (IT) industry,
but has since become prevalent in technology-based industries of all types (e.g.
biotechnology, energy, etc.).
The technical manager investigates and manages the introduction of new products and
processing or manufacturing equipment. They also ensure that existing products
manufactured by the company are produced in the most efficient and effective way by
organizing and introducing continuous manufacturing and business improvement
techniques. This may involve improved methods of working, new or modifications to
processing equipment.
The work involves constant examination manufacturing methods in order to identify
improvements and to solve technical or processing problems as they arise, usually
through a team of processed technicians or machines. Considerable liaison with
existing and new customers is necessary to retain and win new businesses. Project
management, introduction of new necessary equipment and technology required for
manufacturing is also necessary to be looked after by the technical manager.
As a corporate officer position, the CTO typically reports directly to the Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) and is primarily concerned with long-term and "big picture" issues (while
still having deep technical knowledge of the relevant field). He is well versed with the
design as well as the production aspects. Also communicates with both the departments
(officials) on a scheduled basis.

SWOT Analysis of the Organization
Strengths:
Proprietors wide vision and broad outlook
The proprietor/owner has a very wide vision in terms of providing excellent services to
its customers. The broader outlook from the owner helps the organization and builds a
great working environment/atmosphere for the officials. This vision encourages the
employees to work at their fullest potential and the recognition from the higher level
management people boosts them up to work even harder and take to the next level.

Quality products and services
Quality in business, engineering and manufacturing has a pragmatic interpretation as
the non-inferiority or superiority of something; it is also defined as fitness for purpose.
Quality is a perceptual, conditional and somewhat subjective attribute and may be
understood differently by different people. Consumers may focus on the specification
quality of a product or service, or how it compares to competitors in the marketplace.
Producers might measure the conformance quality, or degree to which the
product/service was produced correctly. Support personnel may measure quality in the
degree that a product is reliable, maintainable, or sustainable. A quality item always has
the ability to perform satisfactorily in service and is suitable for its intended purpose and
that has been the USP for decades.
Fast turnaround time
In a market dominated by incessant competition, time advantage is a big factor for the
success of an organization. Fast turnaround of projects cuts down the chances of cost
overrun caused by delays and allows enough time to review and prepare for the market.
Well planned schedule leads to consistent workflow that minimizes delays while keeping
the quality high. Expert design section take minimal amount of time required for a
project, but never sacrifices quality for speed. The well-defined methodology and
planning helps to complete the project without significant loss of time and hence the
project is completed within the given deadline.
Prior estimation based on experience keep the timeliness to the most reasonable
without sacrificing the quality process and respecting the need for urgency.
Superior customer support
Customer service is essential to the companys long-term viability and it has been the
key mantra since its establishment. A company can outperform rivals only if it can
establish a difference that it can preserve. Customer service is just such a difference. It
benefits the organization because it helps to build customer loyalty, repeat business,
and positive word of mouth. Ultimately, this translates into higher sales for the
organization and a positive reputation in the community.
Because effective customer service leads to higher sales and a positive reputation in
the community, it benefits the employee from the standpoint of the company doing well.
When the company does well, the employee's job security is greater. Higher sales can
also lead to increases in salaries, benefits, compensation package, rewards, more
money available for training and development of the employee, etc.
It also benefits the employee who is providing efficient customer service in that it they
feel good about what they do and improves morale.
Passionate towards work
Passion is a term applied to a very strong feeling about a person or thing. It is an
intense emotion compelling feeling, enthusiasm, or desire for something. The
employees are more than willing to give their cent percent in order to achieve what they
desire. Passion brings more energy and fuels the success rate. It also strengthens the
individual confidence and even inspires persistence. Thus, enjoying the work reduces
the stress and improves the health.

Weakness:
Confined customer base
The customer base is almost limited over few companies i.e. they heavily rely upon the
orders from those limited companies. The customer base is struck stagnant and as the
days pass on, if the scenario doesnt change then this stagnancy will creep in further
and ultimately the survival of the organization will be under threat.
Severe downturn in the economy can have a crippling effect
The fluctuations entail swings occurring over time between phases of economic growth,
also referred as booms, and phases of declination or relative stagnation also referred as
recession. Notably, these fluctuations of economic activities do not occur in an arranged
or predictable manner. To measure how the economy has faired, in terms of fluctuations
and booms, the growth rate of real gross domestic product must be employed. The
downturn in the economy has an adverse effect on the organization since the recession
period cuts the sales volumes by huge margin and becomes very difficult to cope up
with such situations for a prolonged time. And this is the time when the companys
turnover, profit, sales and other things goes down at an alarming rate.
High competition
The high competition results little room for growth and expansion. Also the company
has to keep an eye on the competitors 24X7. The organization keeps a detailed account
on the rivals movements. Sometimes the large amount of manufacturing capacity may
take a huge toll on the organization since it prevents the manufacturing firm/unit from
reacting quickly to the changes in the strategic environment.

Lack of access to the best natural resources
The productivity is the one of the most important aspects on a manufacturing company.
It increases with the best possible resources available with the organization. The lack of
access to the natural resources hampers the growth rate. The turnaround time is so stiff
that the organization cannot afford to explore new resource opportunities every time.
Also the lack of access towards the key distribution channels affect the organization in a
negative way.

Opportunities:
Increase in production volumes
Improving the productivity of the company, the business will gain many benefits such as
increase in income or profitability, lowering the running costs, maximizing the use of
resources (land, machineries, workers etc.), gaining a greater market share etc.
The benefits of being able to make more products goes beyond decreasing the per-item
sales costs. In addition to producing better economies of scale, one have the
opportunity to create strategic advantages that helps to maintain market share and keep
the competition at bay.
Increased production capacity allows to increase the inventories during slow times,
allowing the company to stock more products to fill short-notice orders or stockpile
inventory to fill large orders that arrive when the organization are pressed for capacity.
Using new technologies
Cutting-edge technology creates high benefits for businesses that are willing to be early
adopters. This strategy, however, requires businesses to abandon technologies that
never fully mature or that are themselves dropped by their parent companies.
New technologies can be a major source of expenses for the business, as well as a
method of eradicating biggest costs. Regular implementation of technology on the
cutting edge means that sometimes one will need to abandon the investment if the
technology fails to work, if it is defeated by its competition or if its parent company folds.
On the other hand, some technologies completely change the cost structure for the
service they provide.

Loosening of regulations
Economic regulation, a form of government intervention designed to influence the
behaviour of firms and individuals in the private sector. Other forms include public
expenditures, taxes, government ownership, loans and loan guarantees, tax
expenditures, equity interests in private companies and moral suasion. Defined as the
"imposition of rules by a government, backed by the use of penalties, that are intended
specifically to modify the economic behavior of individuals and firms in the private
sector," regulation in general is aimed at narrowing choices in certain areas, including
prices (airline fares, minimum wages, certain agricultural products, telephone rates),
supply (broadcasting licenses, occupational licensing, agricultural production quotas,
pipeline certificates "of public convenience and necessity"), rate of return (public utilities,
pipelines), disclosure of information (securities prospectuses, content labelling),
methods of production (effluent standards, worker health and safety standards),
standards for products or services (safety of children's toys, quality of food products.
These regulations become a major barrier and loosening of some regulations in the
organizational system helps them to achieve greater business volumes.
Entering in new business arenas
The organization is into some kind of expansion with two new businesses i.e.
automobile spares and herbal solution for plants. The expansion has its long time vision
of creating a whole new brand of business with an aim to increase the annual turnover
of the organization. And the organization has already started with the installation of the
second unit at the factory and will be functional shortly.

Threats:
According to Dun and Brad Street, the concentration of business is with few
limited customers
The international rating agency Dun and Brad Street analyzed the concentration of
business to be very confined in the organization. It stated that the organization only
deals with confined customer base. Although the organization has a broad customer
base but it mainly focuses on few companies for their businesses. It specifically told that
almost 90% of the business is dependent with the support of those few organizations.
Growing steep competition
A disadvantage of competition can be the loss of local jobs, particularly in the
manufacturing industry. As competition pushes prices of goods down firms may move
offshore in search of cheaper labour in order to stay competitive. This leads to exploiting
people and in extreme cases even child and or slave labour.
Competition can also create undue stress that may actually prove to be
counterproductive to some worker's efforts. Some workers don't perform well under
pressure and are actually more productive when the work environment allows for a
more easygoing approach to getting work done. Fierce competition may also result in a
"win at all costs" attitude that may even bring out the worst in some workers.
Increasing raw material and energy costs
Research from Grant Thornton International shows that the increasing costs of raw
materials and energy are having major impacts on cost pressures for manufacturers.
Globally, 61% of surveyed businesses reported being most concerned about raw
materials costs and 45 % reported energy costs.
In the recent past, rising raw materials and energy costs are the buzzwords in the global
world. The rising energy and raw material costs reduce the earnings. And there are no
latent things associated with it which are expected to bring radical changes to the global
industry in the near future.
Due to the ever increasing raw material and energy costs owing to fluctuation in the
global crude oil market, the companies have already started to face the heat. As a result
the prices are increased by certain percent for all its products across the industries. The
price increase announcement will trigger a series of similar announcements by other
lead companies.

Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Key Result Activities of the
Organization
Addition of specialized new machineries
The addition of highly efficient to its collection has a very enduring effect to the company
and hence contributing significantly in the growth of the organization. This significant
addition from time-to-time i.e. on a periodical basis adds the colour of the organization
in the volumes chart and therefore the profit column gets lifted up. The machineries not
only help the organization to rise in the charts but also give the much necessary
exposure to the officials working in the company. Working with the new machineries
adds a lot in the expertise quotient. The asset that the company brings into the system
has an immense effect in the overall growth.
Development of designs to achieve required quality
The designs are the fundamental building blocks of any manufacturing industry. Since
everything is dependent on this very thing, a special care should be taken care off. The
design section are the one which deals with the efficiency, upper and lower limits, costs
and every other aspects involved with the product. Since these designs are so important
for various other departments, they are burdened with extra responsibility.
Now a days, with every passing day the cost of raw materials and other essential items
are going in only one direction i.e. in the upward direction. So in order to survive in the
market, one has to deliver the required item at an economical price (as low as possible)
without tampering with the quality much. Hence, the design should be made
accordingly. Thus, there is an alarming call for the development of designs from time-to-
time.
Ascertaining all costs i.e. realizing the expenditures and then rationalizing the
same
Today every single thing starts and ends with money. This remains the prime concern
and focus of every other organization. The ascertaining the expenditures is the foremost
liability of all the managers within the system and then preparing a priority list of all the
expenditures that are to be carried out. The list is carried out to top notch officials where
the realization process gets started and then the unnecessary things are cut down i.e.
the rationalization steps are carried out at a very gentle pace, keeping every aspects
loud and clear.
Honing innovative skills with an entrepreneurial approach
Innovative composing skills are the critical component in our composing success. In
order to achieve these skills one should possess primary resources and knowledge of
conventional composing techniques. These can be discovered and perfected through
online or educational setting training, learning and exercising. Reviews and beneficial
complaint by knowledgeable innovative composing experts is very useful as well.
The trainings are also aimed with an entrepreneurial approach to bring out the ideas
from the officials and encouraging them to exercise the same. The upliftments in the
skills with this approach increases the confidence and help them come up with better
ideas and knowledge.

Continuous progress is the ultimate aim of any industry. This need is readily observed
particularly in the manufacturing sector, which calls for ceaseless innovation. This
progress is possible only through incessant training practices to constantly improve the
workers' abilities. And also by adding the new equipments and high-end designs
enhances the much necessary growth of the organization.

Significant Factors for Success
Quality
Quality of products and services is a major, or perhaps the most important, factor in
achieving competitive advantage for any company. No company can prosper unless it
can deliver right quality of goods and services to its customers at reasonable costs.
A proper attention to maintaining correct quality enables a company to increase the
utility it delivers to the customer, and at the same time reduces its cost. This gives the
company double benefit of higher turnover and higher profit margin.
In view of the great importance of quality for achieving competitive advantage and the
and the all embracing nature of quality cost, companies adopt the Total Quality
Management (TQM) which aims to assure quality in each and every thing that a
company does and not just the final products and services delivered to customers.
Flexibility
Flexibility is very important for a business because changes must be made occasionally
from plans to strategies. Being able to change accordingly and always having the option
to do so will make your business less vulnerable. In order to correct mistakes, errors
and inefficiencies swiftly, you must have the flexibility to do so.
Flexibility means having the power, authority and system to change accordingly with
ease. If you have the power and authority to change, then you are already quite flexible.
However, true flexibility comes from the system of your business operation.
The system of the business operation should be technologically easy and fast in
responding to changes. Having the speed to react to changes is true flexibility in
business. The flexibility to readjust, change and implement is important as scenarios
and circumstances can change throughout time. Business is always uncertain, so
flexibility is needed to accommodate it.

Superior Connectivity
One should not underestimate the importance of delivery. After all, speaking is what
makes a speech distinctive from other forms of communication. Clients believe that
nonverbal impressions are more reliable indicators of whether a speaker is being honest
(on their assumption that actions are harder to falsify than words). To appreciate more
fully the importance of delivery, one should merely think about how often one assesses
others on the basis of how they look or behave. Nonetheless, the process of
assessment on non-verbal cues is something we all do. Hence, the organization is well
equipped with the connectivity to deliver the products on time.
Cost
Lower the procurement price, higher the percentage of profit. It is therefore very much
essential part of an organization to have prudent pricing of inputs and outputs for having
a balance in profit percentage and customer satisfaction and retainment of old
customers to fetch more for future. It is one of the most important parameter to be
addressed in all business organizations. This is because it will determine what profit
level your organization is going to enjoy. Also regardless of the expenditures done to
finish the project, the finished product is to be given at that very cost that has been
deceided at the contract. Hence, proper planning is to be done to achieve the maximum
profit.

System of Accounting Followed
Modified version of Tally is being used within the organization. This software is mainly
used for vouchers, financial statements, taxation and other activities in the organization.

Product Promotional Measures
Promotion of different products are mainly done through
Websites
In the age of social media and online world, there is little or perhaps no ground left for
businesses to limit themselves only to physical world and ignore benefits of the digital
world. While it is true that digital world wont take the business to the top in one go but
there are greater chances for enhancing the potential and allowing to achieve new
heights.
The organizations own website helps in promotion in business but the content needs to
be shared actively through social media. Virtual world is fast and keeps on updating
every second. Content sharing using Facebook, Blogs, Twitter can be highly effective in
this regard. The consumers will certainly respond back by sharing their ideas about the
product and providing their healthy feedback. Over time, the organization will be able
to build relationship with the clients that will help the cause greatly.

Search Engine Optimization
This is the art and science of optimizing the website code, popularity and content in
such a way that it ranks highly on major search engines (like Google, MSN, Yahoo and
Bing) when people look for keywords related to your website.
As a marketing tool, Internet search comes with many built-in benefits, including a high
level of consumer targeting, cost and pricing control, and conversion-tracking
capabilities. As a result, search offers many distinct advantages over traditional direct
mail that marketers consider.
Moreover, search eliminates the need to continuously think up breakthrough packaging
and copy for mailings. Marketers simply identify keywords that best describe their
business and create descriptions for products and services.
Another important advantage to search is that marketers can track their success rate in
real time with online tools, rather than having to rely on slower phone and snail-mail
tracking
Tying up with B2B (Business to Business) portals
With the advancing of technology, the current age is gradually turning out to be an age
governed and highly influenced by Internet. Businesses whether small or big, are
promoting themselves through the Internet. Multitudes of B2B portals have come up that
are enabling online businesses to mount up new heights. B2B portals are extensively
being used as they are fast and inexpensive means of business promotion as compared
to the other means.
They provide a platform to interact where they serve as a common platform to carry out
trade and break the boundaries of the borders. These portals increase the business
prospects that help in generating more business and maximize profit. It also makes
communication faster among businesses as compared to offline dealings. This helps
save both time and money. As details of products are available on a website, any
company can take the necessary tips so as to improve the quality
Career Planning and Promotional Opportunities

Career Planning:
Track Training Metrics
This system helps the officials to the training groove and then analyzes the post
learning performance to see the impact(s) on individual growth. Its actually a very good
method of inspiring the employees in the organization. The training sessions also
motivates the officials and help them identify their strengths and weaknesses. Individual
counseling sessions are also encouraged.
Enhancement of skills
Workers need to stay relevant in todays rapidly evolving economy as employers
increasingly place premium on skills and abilities to enhance business productivity.
More intense economic competition and constant economic restructuring, coupled with
rapid technology and management advancements, will make knowledge and skills
obsolete if workers do not seek to upgrade them.
Therefore, our workforce must constantly enhance their skills to enhance their
competitive advantage and remain employable. These are achieved by conducting
various kinds of programs and making the employees to participate in the events. Also
experts are hired in order to train them technically. Special allocation of funds are
planned in advance to facilitate

Promotional Policies:
Uniform distribution of promotional opportunities on individual basis
The uniform distribution of promotional opportunities means the ration of internal
promotions to external recruitment must be same in all departments. Otherwise, there
will be discontent and frustration in the department where this quota is lower. Therefore,
equal opportunities for promotion are to be provided to all categories in all departments.
The due importance is given to merit, seniority and future potential of an employee.
Clear cut norms and criteria are laid down for judging length of service, merit and
potential.

Reminders and importance regarding achievement of targets
Another is the skill based promotional policy i.e. the achievement of the targets that are
being set up by the managers. The continuous reminders and assessment of the
employee(s) helps both the individual as well as the organization.
The goal setting is an essential key point for every human being to achieve a certain
level of success. All of them do not have the privilege of being successful in work. For
some reason they tend to fall back and this is because the priorities are not set right.
Thus, not only the hard work thats paid off but the smart planning and management
towards fulfilling the quota also helps in getting the desired result.
Awareness among the employees the avenues of advancement
The avenues of advancement are well informed to the employees working with the
company. Multiple chain promotion charts are prepared for this purpose. In these cases,
each designated officials are linked to several other positions to which promotional
activity can be carried out. The charts are prepared for promotion routes that are
commonly called as opportunity charts or fortune charts.
All the promotions are on trial basis and the progress of the promoted employees are
monitored closely to ensure that everything is on track.

Training Measures:
Hiring consultants for employees motivation
Consultants are experts who have considerable experience and knowledge in their
area. There are various consultants who are not just specialized in their area, but also
offer alternatives to different situations. Hiring consultants ensures that a business is
operating efficiently. Consultants are generally used to discover the weaknesses within
the business as well as the strengths. A business owner is also able to access the
maximum market invasion.
They upgrade the experience of the staff and are oriented towards positive outcome.
Therefore, in order to stay in front of the competition, organizations are looking for ideas
and solutions to grow their business as well as maintain a healthy relationship with
customers.
Conducting open forums to discuss the problems and issues of the employees
Forums are just another name for discussion boards, message boards and other
names. They enable employees to interact with each other by exchanging tips and
discussing on topics related to official theme. Forums are conducted on various topics
and get the employees to discuss, this creates a discussion environment. This in turn
helps the employees to discuss the problems and issues that they are facing and also
talks about their solutions. It gets the officials motivated.

Hiring experts
Every player in the industry tries to maximize profit and outscore its rivals. For this to
happen, the organization needs to fold its productivity in a very positive manner. And
the productivity increases with knowledgeable team. These experts are hired by the
companies in order to train and get acclimatized with the advanced technologies. The
knowledge quotient gets enhanced and helps the company to move forward.

System Followed for Purchase of Materials:
i. Getting order from registered or approved vendor list
ii. System of ascertaining and authorization of requirement
iii. Floating of enquiry
iv. Comparisons of rates quoted from different organizations
v. Technical and commercial analysis of the bids
vi. Placement of order
vii. Inprocess quality check
viii. Final quality approval
ix. Proper commercial fulfillment

HRD Measures:
Conducting open forums to discuss problems and issues of employees
Forums are just another name for discussion in the organization. It enables employees
to interact with each other by exchanging tips and discussing on topics related to official
theme. Forums are conducted on various topics and get the employees to discuss, this
creates a discussion environment. This in turn helps the employees to discuss the
problems and issues that they are facing and also talks about their solutions.

Hiring consultants and experts for sharpening their skills and making more
knowledgeable in their respective fields
Consultants are experts who have considerable experience and knowledge in their
area. There are various consultants who are not just specialized in their area, but also
offer alternatives to different situations. Hiring consultants ensures that a business is
operating efficiently. Consultants are generally used to discover the weaknesses within
the business as well as the strengths. A business owner is also able to access the
maximum market invasion.
Experts are hired by the companies in order to train and get acclimatized with the
advanced technologies. The knowledge quotient gets enhanced and helps the company
to move forward.
Creating a uniform and transparent promotional opportunities for the officials
The uniform distribution of promotional opportunities means the ration of internal
promotions to external recruitment must be same in all departments. Otherwise, there
will be discontent and frustration in the department where this quota is lower. Therefore,
equal opportunities for promotion are to be provided to all categories in all departments.
The promotional opportunities are very much transparent since everyone is well aware
of the opportunities and the kind of services the individual i.e. the employee need to put
in for the upliftment in his/her career.

Future Plans:
Expansion of production units
The organization already had an unit working at Agarpara, West Bengal. Further the
second unit has been planned to get the production volumes increased and it is in its
advanced stage of construction. The unit of the organization will be fully functional
within few months and will surely add values. With the coming of the unit, the company
is bringing world-class machineries to its factory and thereby enhancing its stature in the
field of material handling and lifting equipment. The company is even planning to
increase its product range and also trying to be flexible with its design section working
towards the specific needs of the clients.

Involved in the expansion of newly launched businesses such as automobile
spares and herbal solution
The organization is already in an expansion mood with entering into two very different
arenas. The areas as mentioned above are automobile spares and herbal solution for
plants. These two businesses were started around at the same time and are just couple
of years old. The businesses are adding their fair share to the organizations turnover
and are expected to run at full swing within the next couple of years.

Advantages of Organization Structure:
Detailed information to Proprietor
The structure and the system followed within the organization are such that the
proprietor/owner gets the detailed information on a periodical (i.e. on a daily) basis on
the businesses and the working environment. The proprietor keeps a constant eye on
the organization through his managers. Any problem creeping in goes directly in the
owners watch.
Approach for better productivity and standardization
Productivity is an aggregate measure of the efficiency of production, the ratio of output
to inputs -- including capital, labor, land, energy, materials, and so on.
Productivity has many benefits. At the national level, productivity growth raises living
standards because more real income improves people's ability to purchase goods and
services, enjoy leisure, improve housing and education and contribute to social and
environmental programs. Productivity growth is important to the firm because more real
income means that the firm can meet its (perhaps growing) obligations to customers,
suppliers, workers, shareholders, and governments (taxes and regulation), and still
remain competitive or even improve its competitiveness in the market place. The
standards are the ones that set the tone for the growth of the company.

Clear chain of commands
In a business organization, the chain of command refers to levels of authority in the
company from the top position, such as CEO or business owner, down to workers on
the front line. Companies institute a chain of command to provide workers at all levels
with a supervisor to whom they may ask questions or report problems.
The chain of command establishes the company hierarchy. Business owner occupy the
top position in a company hierarchy, which is also the top spot in a chain of command.
Upper management employees report directly to the owner of the company or chief
executive officer. Supervisors or department managers report to higher-level managers,
and workers report to supervisors and department managers. Each company
establishes its own hierarchy or organizational structure, which is the basis for a chain
of command. All employees in the organization recognize the structure of the company
when following a chain of command. Each employee on the chain of command is
responsible for a particular area of the business.

Disadvantages of Organization Structure:
Decision making powers confined to fewer hands
The decision making powers are confined to mainly the proprietor/owner and Chief
Executive Officer. The managers are also not allowed or supposed to take decisions
individually unless there is a real need. This really becomes very difficult at most of the
times since spot decisions are practiced rarely. The entire power is being utilized by the
top notch officials and the managerial and the lower level officials are made to suffer.
Communication barriers
It is a complex process. An organization works as a team and communicating effectively
among the team members only will ensure the organization's success. Business is all
about building relationships, but without effective communication it's nearly impossible
to create those relationships on a strong foundation. Therefore, it's vital to identify the
barriers of business communication to get the message across clearly. By being
sensitive to the needs of the business associates, one will have an easier time
communicating.

Some people are rigid and stubborn when it comes to mixing with people from a
different culture or community. They prefer being with people of the same culture as
theirs. This is a reason why culture acts as one of the noteworthy barriers to effective
communication in the workplace.
Organizational disunity
Organizations are the fundamental and defining structures within which employees
work, produce, and get things done. Organizational success is determined by far more
than the skills, talents, and capacities of the individuals within it. An organization's
ultimate success is a result of the degree to which people transcend their individual
excellence to create interpersonal synergy and achieve collective excellence. An
organization's success has more to do with how the people work in relationship with
each other than with how effectively they function individually in their professional roles.
But however, sometimes the success of other employees doesnt get digested by their
fellow colleagues and this is the time when the fellow employees tend to keep their
selves out from the frame and refuse to co-operate.

Recommendations to Overcome:
Decision making powers should be spreaded to a greater extent
With power comes the responsibility and one has to trust their officials to the fullest
extent as possible. The decision making powers are seriously need to be spreaded to
atleast the managerial level on a larger basis and not only in an emergency basis. This
will certainly enhance their speed of working in the organization.
Communication gap should be narrowed down
A communication gap is a state that occurs when communication is not happening
when it should be. And because of this difficulty, people decline to provide input and
comment and ultimately it leads to a lack of progress. With the gap unresolved it leads
to goals and objectives not being met and this hinders the business fulfilling its potential.
So, there is an urgent need that the barriers break and people talk.
Releasing of funds should be prompt
The system followed in the organization is that after the project gets completed, the
accounting (the amount of work done in terms of money) is done and all the necessary
and required documentations are then send to the H.O. The funds are then released
from the H.O. to the desired destination. This process sometimes takes a lot of time and
henceforth the organization threatens its image.
