The multipurpose polymer modified, thin-set mortar for
interior and exterior installation of ceramic tile, stone,
quarry tile, Glass Mosaic Tiles, pavers and brick. LAT!"#T#$

t is also important to note that the exterior tile B stone
installations are provided (ith ,oints ;spaces< on the periphery
of the area (ithout allo(in' the tile B stone to be bound by the
peripheral masonry (ork or plaster.
t is also important to note that the tilesBstones are not
installed directly on expansion ,oints. The expansion ,oints
need to be run throu'h the tile B stone (ork till top surface
and filled (ith materials (hich accommodate the
movements.
Cautions
+ Furin' cold (eather, protect finished (ork from traffic
until fully cured.
+ !ontains 7ortland cement and silica sand. May irritate
eyes and skin. Avoid contact (ith eyes or prolon'ed contact
(ith skin. n case of contact, flush thorou'hly (ith (ater.
+ Fo not take internally. *ilica sand may cause cancer or
serious lun' problems. Avoid breathin' dust. 6ear a
respirator in dusty areas.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces should be bet(een 13 =;1 !< and C3 =;%2 !< and
structurally sound, clean and free of all dirt, oil, 'rease, loose
peelin' paint, laitance, concrete sealers or curin' compounds.
"ou'h or uneven concrete surfaces should be made smooth
(ith LAT!"#T#$ Latex 7ortland !ement underlayment to
provide a (ood float ;or better< finish. Fry, dusty concrete slabs
or masonry should be dampened and excess (ater s(ept off.
nstallation may be made on a damp surface. )e( concrete
slabs shall be damp cured and 20 days old before application.
8)o minimum cure time for concrete slabs (hen thin-set
mortar is mixed (ith latex additive. All slabs must be plumb and

7lace clean, potable (ater into a clean pail. Add
LAT!"#T#$ %%& po(der. ?se approximately :L of (ater for
23 k' of po(der.
Mix by hand or (ith a slo( speed mixer to a smooth,
tro(elable consistency. Allo( adhesive to slake for &-/3
minutes. Ad,ust consistency if necessary. "emix and apply
(ith the proper si9ed notched tro(el.
Application

Apply adhesive to the substrate (ith the flat side of the
tro(el, pressin' firmly to (ork into surface. !omb on
additional adhesive (ith the notched side. ?se the proper
si9ed notched tro(el to insure full beddin' of the tile.
*pread as much adhesive as can be covered (ith tile in /3
minutes. .ack butter lar'e tiles ;I /2Mx/2M< to provide full
beddin' and firm support. 7lace tiles into (et, sticky
adhesive and beat in usin' a beatin' block and rubber
mallet to imbed tile and ad,ust level. !heck adhesive for
complete covera'e by periodically removin' a tile and
inspectin' beddin' adhesive transfer onto back of tile. f
adhesive is skinned over ;not sticky<, remove and replace
(ith fresh adhesive.
#0 2l$ss Mos$i' tiles
The Laticrete adhesive shall be applied to the surface to be tiled
(ith a notched tro(el usin' a scrapin' motion to (ork the
adhesive into 'ood contact (ith the surface to be covered.
)otch tro(el (ith notches approximately 1mm is
recommended to 'et a bed thickness of /.&-2mm.Apply only so
much that can be covered (ithin /3-/& min or (hile the
adhesive surface is still tacky. The Glass Mosaic tiles shall then
be set in place and beaten 'ently (ith mallet or 'routin' float to
insure /33P full beddin'. Tiles shall be ali'ned to achieve
uniform ,oints and then allo(ed to set until firm. The face of the
sheets of front mounted 'lass mosaic tiles shall then be
dampened and the face mount paper removed. #xcess adhesive
must be cleaned from the surface of the tile (ith a (et cloth or
spon'e (hile the adhesive is fresh and has not hardened.
