Position TV Senior News Producer

Function The senior producer is responsible for the journalistic and creative development, production,
content quality of each show, constructing fresh, informative, creative, compelling shows, ensuring
balanced content consistent with the mission goals of the company. Maintains the creative vision
and look and feel of programs aligned with the departments vision. Incumbent is responsible for
overseeing the gathering, writing and producing of each show. Effectively leads and produces new
and innovative productions. Mentors and serves as a resource to junior members of the staff.
Demonstrates strong news judgment; ensure journalistic standards of fairness, accuracy and
relevancy. This position is central to the successful ongoing operation of assigned programs and
to maintaining company broadcasting standards.
Duties Develops reports, features, and monitors news events.
Take direction from Editor in Chief.
Supervises all show staff members.
Supervises and coordinate all preproduction planning.
Supervises overall production activities; watch edited time lines and suggest
improvements and/or changes.
Assigns reporters and correspondents to features and reports per editor in chief.
Delivers completed stories to the TV Network in the United States.
Manages the weekly plan as directed by the TV Network in the United States per the
editor in chief.
Works with writers on script development and format. Approves changes.
Helps director as needed.
Ensures that all production details are completed, including graphics and chyrons.
Provides control room with information regarding the timing and content of all completed
programs.
Maintains composure.
Oversees post-production and approve final edits.
Coordinates with promotions department to create promotional materials.
Evaluates programs to ensure that objectives are met.
Works closely with Anchor for smooth daily operations.
Supervisory Supervise performance and development of assigned broadcast team members; this may
include anchors, producers, writers, associate producers and production assistants.
Provide appropriate and timely on-going performance feedback to assigned team
members.
Other Duties Determines show vision and showcase major stories.
Assigns and edits stories to writers on the team.
Contributes story ideas on a daily, weekly and long-range basis.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other
responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.
Required Bachelors degree in journalism or broadcast journalism.
5 7 years of experience producing television newscasts.
Must be able to communicate and translate from English to classic Arabic.
Must have discretion, maturity and composure especially under pressure.
Must be able to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Must be a strong, clear communicator with the ability to communicate with multiple teams
is required.
Must be able to present excellent project ideas in a cohesive and content specific
manner.
Must be able to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in fast-paced environment.
Must be deadline driven and detail-oriented a strategic critical thinker.
Must have working knowledge and ability to operate media asset management system.

Position TV News Production Manager

Function Manages the overall daily office operations including human resources, facilities management,
finance, procurement, production operations and security. Serves as an advisor on all
administrative, managerial & production matters.
Duties Serves as the first point of contact for all J erusalem administrative issues for the field
and headquarters.
Manages the overall daily office operations including human resources, facility
Management, Finance, procurement and Security.
Develops and manages the budget for J erusalem office, review operation costs and
suggest cost saving measures.
Monitors costs and expenditures on monthly basis to ensure financial plan goals are met
and limits are maintained.
Implements organizational strategies and policies.
Negotiates contracts, manages company-vendor relationships, primary liaison to building
landlord and oversees office operating procedures.
Coordinates with human resources department on hiring personnel, maintaining personnel
records, and ensuring personnel policies are up-to-date.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of local laws and policies and procedures to ensure
compliance.
Ensures appropriate contract oversight, strong internal controls, timely monthly petty cash
reconciliation, and accurate imprest fund reporting. Ensures appropriate time and
attendance monitoring.
Ensures appropriate authorization of travel orders and compliance with travel policies and
procedures.
Initiates, maintains and fosters productive working relationships to facilitate and improve
communication inside and between departments.
Advises and updates management and staff on significant administrative developments
and corporate policies.
Drafts proposals, policies, statements of work and other administrative documents.
Creates and executes a standard operational procedure and work flow structure for ENG
cameramen and Video Editors.
Manages the quality and performance of the ENG cameramen and Video Editors.
Develops and manages the schedule of all ENG cameramen and Video Editors.
Coordinates with all sections of News, Current Affairs and Programming so as to assign
production facilities to meet their requirements.
Safe guard the camera equipment in a secure location.
Coordinate with Engineering and IT department to develop and establish a service and
maintenance schedule for all production equipment.
Other Duties The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as
dictated by events and circumstances.
Required Bachelors degree; Business Administration preferred.
Five years professional experience in office management.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Fluency in Arabic and English are required
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Excellent people skills.
Sound organizational skill

Function The Assignment Desk Editor is responsible for news gathering and disseminating news
assignments to the reporter and segment producers, after approval of Senior Producers. Deals
with logistics, monitor the wires, newspapers, magazines, and other electronic and on-line media.
Maintains a daily file which contains press releases, story ideas, reminders of follow-ups and
scheduled events, and contact information about events. The incumbent has a good knowledge of
the geography of Arabic speaking countries.
Duties Organizes and coordinates daily news coverage including assigning personnel and
equipment resources to specific stories after Senior Producer Approval
Prepares the run down list of potential stories during each news meeting. Generally these
will be discussed and the stories chosen by the Senior Producers, Supervising Producer
Editor in Chief, or a combination of managers.
Prioritizes and communicates assignments to reporters and segment producers.
Manages and coordinates the time and logistics to make sure selected stories are
covered efficiently with the available resources.
Maintains an assignment board listing what stories is being covered, who is covering and
approximately how much air time is required to each story, so that anyone in the
newsroom can know the status of a particular crew simply by quickly looking at the
board. This board will also define what guest in live in the studio.
Develops ideas for features and special reports.
Plans and coordinates special news related events.
Reads and edits news copy to ensure that slanderous, libelous, and materials are
avoided or deleted.
Monitors Correspondents reports for balance, clarity and objectivity.
Alerts management about major news events, disasters.
Researches and coordinates guests.
Maintains Knowledge of current International and US events.
Assists editorial staff in developing all news coverage plans.
Maintains regular contact with news sources.
Reads, understands, and follows the Network's J ournalistic Code of Ethics and libel laws.
Other Duties Incumbent may contribute to the broadcast by writing news stories.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties and take on other.
responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.
Requires Bachelors degree in journalism.
3-5 years of journalism experience.
Ability to communicate and translate from English to classic/modern Arabic.
Must demonstrate strong news judgment and organizational skills.
Must have keen sense of logistics and ability to work well with others including
producers, reporters, photographers, other personnel and the public.
Must be able to meet tight deadlines and under stress with accuracy and balance.
Strong people management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be able to develop sources, contacts.
