Program Notes:
Dpart is a piece for solo piano that focuses on the idea of permutation from one spectrum to another. The two spectrum I chose for
this piece consist of the natural spectrum of B
0
and a stretched spectrum of A
1
. The piece consists of two layers of pitch material that share
motivic ideas. One layer is xed on the B
0
spectrum, while the other layer travels from the static spectrum to the distorted spectrum of A
1
.
The piece ends with both of the spectrum played at the same time to nalize the sense of shifting within the piece.

Performance Notes:
The vertical lines (ticks) above staff refer to durations of one second unless notation otherwise
Accidentals only affect the notes they are attached to. The only exception being repeated succession of notes.

fastest
Slowest
The stems without noteheads indicate an indeterminate amount of repeated
notes continuing the pattern until the noteheads reappear. c
