How to create MapInfo Vector file?

To create MapInfo Tab (vector) file from vector data, please follow the steps given below

Start MapInfo, select file type as Microsoft Excel and open the excel sheet containing vector data
for On-Air Macro sites.

Check the check box and press OK

Set Field Properties window will appear. Press OK.

A MapInfo Table will be created as shown below:

Open MapBasic Program SiteSee2.3

Go to Table WFI SiteSee Create Site Boundaries

Choose latitude and longitude from the columns lat and long. Choose Site radius = 0.3 (Km),
Beamwidth = 45 (degrees), orientation from the column Planned Bore and press OK.

Save the table as fans.

Now open the fans table.

Another window showing Site Fans will be displayed as shown below:

Go to Maintenance Table Structure and select the fans table.

Modify Table Structure window will open up. From this window select the values that you want to
be displayed in search and press OK.

Now Go to Layer Control and change the display of Site Fans as per your wish.

Label the Site Fans with Site_ID from Layer Control.

Now add other layers like Roads, Cluster Boundaries, Labels etc by opening them in the Current
Mapper as shown below:
