The Evolution Two-Way Tubing Swivel is used
with tubing rotators to allow the tubing to be rotated
during production. The swivel is designed to allow
torque anchors to be set. The Two-Way Swivel can
also be set with no-turn tools
The Evolution Two-Way Swivel can easily be
serviced with our line of Redress Kits for reuse in
the field.
Our redress kits are specifically prepared for your
Two-Way Swivel model. When properly redressed,
a single swivel can last the life of the well, and
beyond.

Installation
Procedure
1 With the Housing in a
vise, such as the Evolution
Open Sided Pipe Vise, remove
Set Screws and any
remaining Shear Screws and
slide out the Bottom Sub and
Top Sub.


2 Remove the O-Ring and
Polypaks from inside the
tool.



3 Prepare all the parts
(Top Sub, Housing, and
Bottom Sub) for assembly.
Check all threads and
housing for dirt or foreign
material and use compressed
air to remove any debris.

Note
Use caution when using compressed
air, and follow all manufacturer
instructions.

4 Lubricate (with Metalon
Hi-Tech 1.5 EP) both gaps for
the Polypaks and install the
Polypakson the Bottom Sub
with the lip orientated to the
Top Sub.


5 Then install the Bearing
Ring right under the Polypak
grooves.


6 Install new Polypaks on
the Bottom Sub. See Polypak
Orientation Detail on page 8).

7 Place the Housing in a
vice. Lubricate the inside
threads of the Housing with
Metalon Hi-Tech 1.5EP.

8 Push the Bottom Sub all
the way in.

9 Lubricate the outside
threads and the gaps for the
O-Rings on the Top Sub and
install the O-Rings.

10 Thread the Top
Sub with a pipe wrench on
the Housing and file off any
pipe wrench bites.

11 Align the slots on
the Bottom Sub with the
threaded holes for the Shear
Screws on the Housing using
a belt wrench.

12 Thread the four (4)
Set Screws using Loctite 242
Removable and torque to at
least 30 Ft. Lbs. (40.6 Nm).

13 Thread the Shear
Screws using Loctite 242
Removable until tight then
back-off 1/2 turn.

Note
Check to make sure both Shear
Screws are in the slots on the Bottom
Sub prior to use.
