HIET, Hamdard University

Course Title: Basic Electronics

Pre-requisite: None

Course Objective: To Introduce the basic concepts of electronics and electronic devices including
diodes, transistors, transistor biasing, rectifiers, and Transistors amplifiers

Essential Topics to be covered:
Semiconductor Physics
Diodes
Special purpose diodes (Zener, LED,)
Diode based clipper, clamper, voltage multiplier
Half, full and Bridge Rectifiers.
Voltage regulators
Bipolar Junction Transistor(BJT) DC and AC analysis
BJT basic inverter/switch
