OBJEKTIF
-menyediakan kawalan ke atas `kilang berhubung dengan keselamatan, kesihatan dan
kebajikan orang-orang yang berada di dalamnya.
-menyediakan kaedah pendaftaran dan pemeriksaan ke atas `jentera.
DEFINISI
KILANG
-Mana-mana premis yang tertutup atau terbuka dimana terdapat orang bekerja untuk
aktiviti berikut: -membuat, mengubahsuai, membaiki, menyusun,
membersih, membasuh, membina, merombak, memasang, melaras, dan
seumpamanya sebarang benda (article) untuk tujuan perniagaan.
Tidak Termasuk: -Premis
Yang Digunakan Untuk Menyimpan Lokomotif atau Kenderaan Dimana Hanya Kerja-
kerja Membersih, Mencuci Dan Kerja Penyenggaraan Secara Kecilan
Dilakukan. -Premis Dimana Kurang Dari 5 Orang Bekerja Dan
Tiada Jentera Digunakan.
JENTERA
Steam boiler, unfired pressure vessel, fired pressure vessel, prime movers, gas cylinders,
gas holders, hoisting machines and tackle, transmission machinery, driven machinery,
materials handling equipment, amusement device or any similar machinery, and any
equipment for the casting, cutting, welding or electro-deposition of materials and for the
spraying by means of compressed gas or air of material.

TRAINING OF MACHINERY OPERATORS
An owner or occupier shall not require or permit any person to work on any machinery
unless he has caused such person to be instructed :
in the precautions to be taken against any danger to health which may arise from
work on the machinery; and
in the use and where necessary the adjustment of the safety appliances provided;
and
in the precautions to be observed in the operation, cleaning and maintenance of the
machinery.
