To the people of state.

I am doing the research to know more about the Andhra and Telangana , and
found a document posted by Telagana supporter depicting that Telangana were rich and abundant with
their resources and showed that Andhra people are snatchers and robbers. All his document is talking
between 1912 to present and trying to say that they are right. So many questions he posted saying that
why the state is called as Andhra Pradesh and why it did not take the name based on the language. For his
kind information the name ANDHRA exists from 800 B.C, and today it represents the name of that
history.

Let me give you more insight. The periods we should take into consideration

Maurya Dynasity( 322-297,BCE)

Sathavaha Dynasity(3rd Century)
Vishukundians(For the kind information of the telangana supporters, during this period Telugu is the
official language, Capital is Warangal)
Kaktiyas Dynasity 12- 13 Century

Mauryas Dynasity:-

If you see the map of this kings period its from Bengal, and Assam in the east to Afghanistan and
Baluchistan in the west, Kashmir from North to tip of south. 95% of present India is under his rule its
between 322 and 297 BCE. There is neither Andhra nor Telangana.

With the fall of the Maurya Empire, Andhra Satavahanas became independent in 3rd century BCE. After
the decline of the Satavahanas in 220 CE,Ikshvaku dynasty, Pallavas, Ananda
Gotrikas, Vishnukundinas, Eastern Chalukyas and Cholas ruled theTelugu land. Inscriptional evidence
of Telugu language was found during the rule of Renati Cholas (Vorugal region) in 5th century CE.
[12] During this period Telugu emerged as a popular medium undermining the predominance
of Prakrit and Sanskrit.[13] Telugu was made the official language by the Vishnukundina kings who ruled
from their capital warangal. Eastern Chalukyas ruled for a long period after the decline of
Vishnukundinas from their capital in Vengi. As early as 1st century CE, Chalukyas were mentioned as
being vassals and chieftains under the Satavahanas and later under Ikshvakus. The Chalukya
ruler Rajaraja Narendraruled Rajahmundry around 1022 CE.

Kakatiya dynasty is between 12th and the 13th centuries CE. The Kakatiyas were at first feudatories of
the Rashtrakutas ruling over a small territory near Warangal. All the Telugu lands were united by the
Kakatiyas. In 1323 CE, Delhi Sultan Ghiaz-ud-din Tughlaq sent a large army under Ulugh Khan to
conquer the Telugu country and capture Warangal. King Prataparudra was taken prisoner. Musunuri
Nayaks recaptured Warangal from the Delhi Sultanate in 1326 CE and ruled for fifty years. Inspired by
their success, the Vijayanagara Empire, one of the greatest empires in the history of Andhra Pradesh
and India, was founded by Harihara and Bukka, who served as treasury officers of the Kakatiyas of
Warangal.[14] In 1347 CE, an independent Muslim state, the Bahmani Sultanate, was established in south
India by Alla-ud-din Hasan Gangu as a revolt against the Delhi Sultanate. The Qutb Shahi dynastyheld
sway over the Andhra country for about two hundred years from the early part of the 16th century to the
end of the 17th century.[citation needed]In Colonial India, Northern Circars became part of the
British Madras Presidency. Eventually this region emerged as the Coastal Andhra region. Later
the Nizam had ceded five territories to the British which eventually emerged as Rayalaseema region. The
Nizams retained control of the interior provinces as the Princely state of Hyderabad, acknowledging
British rule in return for local autonomy. Meanwhile, the French had occupied Yanam (Yanaon), in the
Godavari delta, and (save for periods of British control) would hold it until 1954.
India became independent from the United Kingdom in 1947. The Muslim Nizam wanted to retain his
independence from India, but the people of the region launched the movement to join the Indian Union.
The state of Hyderabad was forced to become part of the Republic of India in 1948 after Operation
Polo which lasted 5 days and had popular support from the people of the Hyderabad State.

During the reign of Nizam , Hyderabad is the capital during his period. Rayalseema is a part of his
kingdom too. He gave it to the Britishers to protect his sovereignty. This king took all the resources from
Rayalaseema, which was once upon a time Ratnalaseema and invested all its richness in building the
capital, Hyderabad. The people of Telangana claim that they have built it by collecting taxes only from
them. I pity for them who forgot the history.
In an effort to gain an independent state, and protect the interests of the Telugu people of Madras
State, Amarajeevi Potti Sreeramulu fasted until death. Public outcry and civil unrest after his death forced
the government to announce the formation of a new state for Telugu speaking people. Andhra attained
statehood on 1 October 1953, with Kurnool as its capital.
On 1 November 1956, Hyderabad State was split into three parts. The Telangana region was merged
with Andhra State to form the state of Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad, the former capital of the Hyderabad
State, was made the capital of the new state.

All I want to convey is that, there is no Telangana initially. If you see history Telangana is part of Andhra
Kingdom, due to Geographical changes so many regional changes has taken place. I agree that the people
under Nizam rule faced many hurdles. The Muslim kings made Urdu as official language, however
Telugu is also prevailing during those days. This is not known to many people.

When Nizam King was dethroned, the 10 districts were merged into Indian republic later into Andhra
Pradesh. Since then what the hell these people doing who claim that they were very rich during 1950
became backward , instead of taking advantage of the benefits that Indian government has given for
them. All of them were sleeping during these things happening and suddenly cribbing that they are
backward, etc etc. The leaders should have developed their region in a great fashion as Hyderabad is
having good infrastructure, connectivity etc.

They also mentioning about natural resources, the rivers that are flowing today are there from the
beginning. Because the land is high plateau Agriculture is an expensive thing for them they concentrated
in different occupation, like industries. Right from the Ancient days, the occupation of AP is Agriculture.
The water flows from an up region to low region. Its not anybodys fault, They knew this but still they
compare interms of cultivation land. Their occupation is not mainly Agriculture. This should be known to
the world.

During these Kingdoms, The Capital is being rotated between Warangal and Hyderabad. Due to the
status of the Capital, they invested the funds in Hyderabad from ancient days. This is how they say that
Hyderabad is well connected, have good infrastructure before Independence. Saddest part is that they
forgot that the kings collected taxes from every corner of their kingdom and developed the Capital.

I humbly request that Please, Please do not forget the contribution of people form other areas who built
Hyderabad City right from the Ancient days. Now, they cannot say that it entirely belongs to them and
rest of the people are settlers. Please think with your heart and soul and then make a public statement.
The backwardness cannot be removed by cribbing on others. It’s the sincere and collective efforts
eliminates the backwardness.

Through this, I put a question for those who are abusing each other, Do they really require development
or a separate state? If a separate state is granted will the life changes ?. The same politics that there right
from 1948 are still existing today. Its not separate state that brings the development, its change in politics
and collective efforts that brings development. Raise your voice on development, instead of getting
separate.
