In week of virtual class from the 4
th
June we learned about Organizational culture. Basically it is
reflection of organization design and values, beliefs that show the appropriate or inappropriate
behavior within an organization. It is a medium of control the employee behavior .By this culture
One employee can share with another so its increase their performance by having a good culture
company can easily make their self competitive, I was learned about cultural and group activates
of a specific group of people .People have different personal view about their religion and social
and economic life these things are really important when different persons from different
background works for the company.
Organizational Behavior is really important for a business it is way to meet business goal.We
also learned about the levels of organization there are three levels assumption, values and
artifacts. Assumptions reflects the nature of human being and beliefs , values are about sharing
principle and standards and at last artifacts are tangible aspects of organization.
Business built their organizational behavior by following some aspects some of them are
innovative, detail oriented, outcome oriented, stable, team oriented, People oriented aggressive.
Different business follow different ways some follows detailed oriented culture its means that
business pay attention to details and in case of people oriented the business values fairness and
respect individual rights. I also learn about strong culture that difficult to change and separate
culture merges together. Example Wal-Mart. Founder Sam Waltons concern and respect for
staff from the foundation of the company creates an environment of trust that persists to this day.
Walton met staff, calling them by their first name and encouraged change to maintain the
competitive edge. To this day, staff thinks about how Sam would have done it.
Values and demands create Culture. In case of Ben and jerry they are doing good business
because founder strongly believed in their issue and social activism really helped them out.
For maintain this culture we will require attraction, selection, attrition, on boarding.
Rewards really influence culture .when we give reward to a employee they got inspiration and
they think business treating them fairly s they start to do good things for the business.

Company should always practice those cultures which are they following from the beginning and
it will be profitable for them in future business.

Section 2
I looked in some articles that tells us about the Organizational behavior
Christopher Deal described in his article The Context of Organizational Behavior
He discussed about organization systems importance,vital part of the operation of
organization,and also about culture importance and influencing values.
Timothy So, Msc describe in Positive Organizational Behaviour and Better Work Performance
about how good organization behavior influence firms strategy and performance
Research performed by Dr. Meredith Belbin on team interactions produced findings that a team
succeeds or fails mostly based on types of behaviors of the individuals and their ability to
combine them. During the 1970s, research performed on teams found that individuals tended to
identify into certain clusters of behavior when relating to others and contributing to the team
which affected overall business.
From this articles authors gave importance about positive and organized organizational behavior
by that business can easily proceed further and succeed .







Section 3

Organizational behavior is a field of social science which studies how people interact in the
workplace. Organizational behavior examines personal and group behavior and mechanisms that
help to increase efficiency at both the individual and organization level. In this sense,
organizational behavior is an applied discipline and is closely related to sociology, psychology,
statistics and ergonomics. Core topics include organizational structure and culture, organizational
development, organizational change, communication and decision-making in the group.
So organizational behavior works as a backbone for business its the rules that makes the
business to be profitable and employee from different religion and group can easily share their
views and culture with other and its helps the business to set new set of decision and vision.
