Description

The Country Director is responsible for providing overall business leadership to the CPN Argentinian
organization, including strategic planning, P&L responsibility, sales strategy, talent development, and financial
performance accountabilities. The position is accountable for driving the team to achieve its vision, growth
strategy, and performance goals. The main goal is drive the team to make it sure that the business will bring
distinctive value to our customers through innovative solutions and capabilities becoming the parter of choice
in the segments that we decide to have presence.

Business Growth: Utilizing a full understanding of the business environment, develop marketing plan and
strategy to increase market share (Profit Pool) and maximize return on investments. Develop a deep
understanding of market segments, customers and competitors, and define the strategic direction needed to
achieve the long-term operating and profit goals. Choose the right segments to invest (right battles), align
capabilities with strategic choices and master in execution. Identify opportunities for growth which may includes
M&As, organic or Greenfield. Understand how to run business focused on creating customer value rather than
transactional sales

20%
P&L/Balance Sheet Management: Develop an understanding of all critical facets of the business that are
described in the performance factors. Formulate short and long term operating objectives (tactical and
strategic projects) in areas such as quality improvement, cost reductions, manufacturing/process efficiencies,
and new product development. This includes a concise evaluation of both internal and external
focus. Management of credit needs. Manages capital assets to ensure acceptable corporate return on
investment and to provide for future growth. Master in Execution

10%
Operations: Oversite of overall plant operations. Ensures product, quality, cost, volume, food safety and
service are at or above acceptable standards and are within budgetary limits.

Talent Development: Build high performing teams. Defines and implements growth and succession
planning. Provides an inclusive environment that supports personal growth and development for all levels of
the organization. Ensures utilization of performance management processes. Make it sure that Business
Growth Plan is 100% aligned with Talent Development Inititatives, guaranteeing that business will have the
right set of capabilities to deploy the strategic plan

15%
Values: Develop and enforce standards of performance. Oversee and ensure the organization is aligned with
Cargill Guiding Principles, mission, values and goals, Anti-Competitive practices and regulatory
compliance. Provide leadership to the organization to ensure a safe working environment so every employee
returns home safely. Develop strong connection and leverage of CAN and Cargill resources within the country
and/or region. Create an environment that promotes a high performance team with a can do attitude.
Development of a culture of continuous improvement and meritocracy.


Qualifications

Essential Functions/Requirements

Bachelors degree in business, animal science, or other related field or commensurate experience.
8+ years previous general management experience. Must have experience in sales, marketing and
competitive positioning. Nice to have experience on plant operations, credit and financial management.
Should have had experience in different functional areas
Strong leadership skills, team building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Must have sense of urgency and entrepreneurial proven track records
Proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence and lead change
Experience in growing a business
Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team
approach
Experience in fiduciary responsibility, including budgets, expenses, or pricing
Culture awareness and experience of diversity
Execution track records
Understand customer value creation to be aligned with companys competitive positioning
Ability to communicate in English

Travel requirement: up to 25%, domestic and international
Preferred qualifications:
Prefer Master in Business Administration degree
Experience
8+ years of general management experience, preferable in animal nutrition business, or knowledge of the
animal nutrition business
