MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
OF SIGNALLING GEARS

Introduction

Signalling plays a vital role to run the train safe and

punctual. To achieve this, the working of signalling
gears should be efficient and reliable. It is the duty
of every signalling staff to carry out the effective
maintenance and testing for smooth working of
signalling gears.

Mainly signalling gears may be classified mainly as

• Electrical signalling gears

• Mechanical signalling gears
