Asian Paints presents a unique marketing competition in an


industry which is one of its kind. It is an industry which exhibits
characteristics of both FMCG and FMCD sector.
CANVAS is a multi-level challenge in this industry, where you get
an opportunity to work on a live business problem, meet senior
and seasoned professionals, meet our business partners and get
a chance to earn yourself a PPI and win attractive cash prizes.

who are eligible to participate?

This competition is open to the Final year students of the flagship programs of
the following management institutes:
IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, IIM L, IIM K, XLRI , FMS, MDI, SIBM Pune, TISS Mumbai,

SJMSOM Mumbai, NITIE Mumbai, SP Jain Mumbai and NMIMS Mumbai

The participating students can be from any specialization


They should be full time students from the campus
Students on exchange cannot participate
Students who have pursued summer internship in Asian Paints cannot
participate

One person cannot be a member of more than one team

what will the competition look like?

Registration

Each team will consist of 3 members


Each team will need to register with the campus SPOC after having gone
through all the rules and guidelines
You will need to give your unique team name, name of team members, mobile
numbers and email IDs to the campus SPOC

Submissions have to be made to the campus SPOC


From the submissions received from each campus, the winning team and 2
runners-up will be announced

Campus winners and 2 runners up team will be announced for each campus
The winning team from each campus will present to an Asian Paints panel, from
which top 5 teams will be selected for the grand finale

I. Campus Round

Participating teams will need to work on a case given by the company.


a.

Each team will need to submit a word document (maximum of 3 pages) and a 5 slide
presentation to the campus SPOC by 10th of November.

Word document: First page should have the team details as submitted during
registration. The font size should be 12 in Times New Roman. The document should
contain all your key points and strategy to tackle the deliverables in the case.

Presentation: First slide should contain team details, other slides are for analysis or
deliverables to the problems. Any supporting excel sheets etc. will need to be sent
separately in a folder. Any references should be given due credits.

Zip the two files together as submission; Naming Convention: Institute Name_Team
Name_CANVAS1

b.

Top 3 teams will be short-listed by the Asian Paints team. The winning teams

from each campus will present to the Asian Paints panel in Mumbai and from them
5 teams will be picked for the Grand Finale.

Important: Post the announcement of the winning team on campus, the team can
further fine tune their presentation on the same lines as recommended during the
submission. However, the analysis and solution submitted should not change. Asian
Paints reserves the right to disqualify any team if the rules and guidelines are not
adhered to.

In this round a campus round winner and a campus round runner-up will be
declared based on the quality of presentations.

II. National Round

The top 5 teams selected from all the 14 campus winners will compete at the national
level

There will be a live business challenge given in extension to the case of first round

The national level finalists will also get an opportunity to visit some local counters and
meet people associated with Asian Paints to prepare for this round

The National level round will be held at Mumbai on 8th December. The company will
arrange for travel and stay for this round

The finalists will get a chance to present to the senior leadership team headed by the
MD & CEO of the company

Further details of the national level round will be disclosed after all the campus round

Campus round runners-up team will get Rs 15,000 and certificates
Campus second runners-up team will get certificates

National Round

The winning team at the national level will get Rs 2,00,000 and PPIs
The runners up will get Rs 1,00,000 and PPIs
