Introduction
Project Appraisal System is a Web-based system that can be accessed with the help of
internet through web browser. First user needs to register in order to get a unique id and
password. Each time user needs user id and password to access the service of our project.
Project Appraisal System is a Web-based portal that allows:

Appraisers to upload appraisal documents online.

Appraisers and Staff faculty to retrieve appraisals for online review or hardcopy printing.

As a result of the Project Appraisal System implementation:

Appraisals are processed more quickly and efficiently.

Appraisals cannot be misplaced or lost, as is possible with hardcopies.

Appraisals are now stored electronically and available online.

Objectives
The objectives of Project-appraisal, contributes to institute competitive strength. Besides
encouraging high levels of performance, the evaluation system helps us to identify stude nt
with potential, reward performance equitably and determine student's need for training.
Specifically, Project appraisal helps institute gain to competitive edge.

Features
Student

Student can form their team online by inviting classmates.

Student can request faculty members to become their project coordinator.

Student have to submit each module with in given deadline, otherwise team have to pay
penalty.

Student can request for extending their project deadline.

Student can ask queries in open forum.

Student can view track record of other team.

Faculty

Faculty can accept the request send by team.

Faculty can give marks for each module.

Faculty can give suggestion / feedback on work being done.

Faculty can set and extend deadline for project.

Problem Definition
The appraisal system is only used in big institute, it is not so much efficient. It is not provide
facility, every hour report of all student of the institute, all professional information about
student of the institute, to share information with each other.

Limitations

Since it is a web application it requires internet connection.

Once the team formation and project guide are selected, Student cannot change their
team.To do so he/she may have to contact admin.

This project does not provide environment to compile/run the student's project online.

Security is compromised to some extent which can be taken of care in future .

Future Scope
Nothing is perfect in this world. So, we are also not the exceptions. Although, we have tried
our best to present the information effectively, yet, there can be further enhancement in the
Application. We have taken care of all the critical aspects, which need to take care of during
the development of the Project. Like the things this project also has some limitations and can
further be enhances by someone, because there are certain drawbacks that do not permit the
system to be 100% accurate.

Proposed System
Online performance appraisal software helps our Institute quickly create high-value
performance appraisals for all students. It's a powerful, easy-to-use tool for cultivating a highperformance workforce that is completely aligned with our institution's goals and priorities.
