DC-AC Inverter
To reduce the risk of electric shock, install this inverter in a temperature and humidity controlled indoor
area free of conductive contaminants. Ambient temperature must not exceed 50oC (122oF).
The AC output of the inverter need a disconnect switch such as a breaker which has to be provided by
others.
The over-current protection for the output AC circuit has to be provided by others. All of our inverter has an
electronic protection of AC output short circuit.
The AC input of the inverter needs a readily accessible disconnected device and shall be incorporated in the
building installation wiring.
Reduced air flow: Installation of the equipment in a rack should be such that the amount of air flow required
for safe operation of the equipment is not compromised.
Mechanical loading: Mounting of the equipment in the rack should be such that a hazardous condition is not
achieved due to uneven mechanical loading.
Circuit overloading: Consideration should be given to the connection of the equipment to the supply circuit
and the effect that overloading of circuits might have on over-current protection and supply wiring.
Appropriate consideration of equipment nameplate ratings should be used when addressing this concern.

Reliable earthing: Reliable earthing of rack-mounted equipment should be maintained. Particular attention
should be given to supply connection other than direct connections to the branch circuit.

PROTECTIVE GROUNDING TERMINAL: A terminal, which must be connected to earth ground
prior to making any other connection to the equipment.

* USHA Internal Hardware Installation Guide
USHA Smart:
Fully insert USHA adapter into the slot provided by inverter.
A. Adding and configuring TCP/IP in client workstation
Step
1. Click Start -> Settings-> Control Panel-> Network
Make sure that you have a TCP/IP network already installed. If it already installed,
go to Step 3
Click on the Add button if TCP/IP network is not present

C. Configuring USHA via Telnet
1. Make sure that you have a TCP/IP network already installed
2. USHA will initially try to acquire an IP address from the DHCP network service, if
exist, on the network
Note: You can run the "upgrade.exe" program provided by the USHA CD-ROM
to display USHA's current IP address
3. If DHCP network service is not available, enter the following command at the DOS
prompt:
route add 172.17.XXX.ZZZ <Workstations IP address>
Note: the default IP address of USHA is 172.17.XXX.ZZZ where XXX and ZZZ is
the last two pairs of the MAC address of USHA in decimal. MAC address can be
found on the back of USHA/Smart (e.g. 00E0XXXXXXXX)
4. Enter TELNET <USHAs IP address> at the DOS prompt
5. TELNET is using the same interface as Serial Port configuration
Start your Web Browser, enter the USHAs IP address in the Address text box, and press return
to display the Home page. USHA is now installed on your network.

3. OPERATION
3-1 Connecting to the input power
Turning off the DC breaker before connecting the DC voltage to the input terminal. Sparks will burst if
the breaker is on when connecting the input DC voltage. This is normal condition due to the charging
current drawing from DC voltage charges the internal capacitor of inverter.
Be sure to turn on the breaker on the front panel after connecting the input DC power to input terminal
of
inverter.
Calculate the total power consumption (VA) of the output load. Make sure that the total power consumption
does not exceed the rated load.
Remove some uncritical loads if the total loads exceed the capacity of inverter.
3-3 Front panel operation of system is conducts using the following sequence
of operation
1. Make sure that installation has been carried out correctly. When the breaker is turned on or the utility input is
available, the LCD of the inverter displays the following message
SYSTEM IS AT
ON-LINE MODE
SYSTEM IS AT
OFF-LINE MODE
2. Press the ON button (and release in 1~10 seconds) to start the system power. (if you press the on key less
than 1 seconds or more than 10 seconds , CPU will not enable to prevent miss-pressing). The inverter is in
normal condition when the following message appears on the LCD screen:

4-3 Maintenance
Make sure that the ventilators on the inverter are not blocked.
Use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of any dust that may rest on the opening of the fan.
When cleaning the case or front panel, only use a soft, dry cloth. If the case or front panel is very dirty,
use a neutral, non-abrasive detergent. Do not use alcohol or ammonia based solutions.
Ask qualified service engineer to check the entire system periodically. Such when
inverter, always handle it with care.
