Industry Experienced staff members
Case based study method
The formulated rules and regulations and abiding to them
Imparting practical knowledge about the industry to students
Tutorials
Punctuality
International tour

Weaknesses
1. Less no of industrial visits
2. Long college hours

The above weaknesses can be overcomed by achieving the following Instead of industrial visits at least one guest lecture by some well experienced
person from the industry can be arranged once a week which would help students
more.
The college has lectures for 8-9 hours once or twice a week which is very tiring.
It is very difficult to concentrate in the last lecture. Instead of this discussion
sessions on the current topics among students of different divisions can be
arranged which will be interesting and also would increase the students
knowledge.

I feel the above suggestions would help to overcome the weaknesses.

Talking about the competitive priorities, yes Mitsob does have a competitive priority.
This is because it has all the following factors.
Cost- It provides good placements considering its fee structure.
Quality- The quality of education that the institute imparts is very good. It never
compromises in quality.
Flexibility- If the management sees some flaw in the present operating pattern it
changes it and is not rigid in terms of its operations.

QUESTION 2)
I have chosen Britannia industries ltd. It started its business in Calcutta and has grown so far.
The company has also won many awards. For laying down an operating strategy.
The very first approach a company should have while laying down an operating strategy is
meeting the customer expectations. No strategy will be successful if the customers dont respond
positively.
The following operating strategy has been designed by me

The very first thing is to make products that the customers want and expect and not
making which we feel is right.
Only manufacturing the product and selling is not important. Keeping proper estimates of
the inflows and the outflows is equally important.
Investing the profits in some small company & getting into partnership. This would be
helpful for both.
There should be a flexibility in manufacturing depending upon the changing market
demands.
Using environment friendly packaging.
Basic services to be provided to the majority.

QUESTION 3)
CAPACITY BASED PROBLEM
An institute has only 30 computers and students are more in number. This problem can be solved
in the following ways In such a case more than one no of students can be made to sit on one machine.
The students can also be taught in batches but this is cost effective if you are paying the
teaching faculty on monthly basis and not per lecture.
