My dear Chisukhananda,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter
dated November 17, 1972, and I have noted with pleasure that you want to go
to Caracas, South America, to join Hanuman for opening center and preaching
work there. That will be very, very nice. I know that you are the right man
because I saw for myself how nice you have created the Mexico City Temple of
ISKCON, and I was very much inclined to those devotees. Only I had some
difficulty with language difficulty to preach, but still I could see how pious they
were and eager to listen anyway. That is the only qualification, if someone is
eager for spiritual improvement. So I think because Hanuman is always
sending me successful reports of preaching meetings, so many newspaper
articles and photos, that is Krishna Consciousness movement will be very
famous there and you will find many interested persons to become devotees,
just like at Mexico. Now you go there, along with your good wife and family.
But one nice thing is, before you had told me you thought it was best if first
you had got one nice place and made all arrangements before your wife and
child joined you, then they will not suffer unduly nor shall you be hampered in
the beginning to work very hard without good facilities at first. Later they may
come when there is sufficient place.
I think Gaurasundara in Hawaii is the GBC man for South American Zone,
so you should also write to him in this connection and take his advice and
make report to him, and make report to him, along with Hanuman, at least
once in a month what you are doing. I have recently got one letter from
Hanuman, and his address is: c/o Agencia Wallis C.A. Edificio Karam, PO Box
1826, Caracas, Venezuela. I am sending one copy of this letter to Caracas, as
you have mentioned that you are leaving New York first week in December. If
there is good possibility to arrange nice programs, and if you have got a very
nice place by them, why not I shall stop there in Caracas while returning yo
your country sometime next year?

My dear Mohanananda,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge your letter dated
November 22, and I have noted the contents with great care. I am very, very
glad to hear of your desire to return to Gurukula school and apply yourself to
developing that place. I am so glad to hear this good news. Only a few weeks
back I had got a letter from Satsvarupa wherein he has informed me that
Stoka Krishna has left Dallas and that he must go there to take charge himself.
But he is sannyasi ans he should travel and preach, and he has nor much taste
for watching so many things. So I had suggested him to get a full-time
manager, some grshastha, nice husband and wife together, to manage the
things, and that he shall expect that such person will stay tightly and develop
it and make that his life work. It is the most important preaching work, to train
our children in Krishna Conciousness education of life. And I think that you are
just the right man to do it. Krishna has given you the right idea, just see! I was
also at Dallas school last summer and I was very much impressed with these
children, how nicely they are becoming preachers and kirtana men and girls. If
we can develop properly, one day they will turn the world by their preaching.
Let the small children from all good families in your country come to our
Gurukula school and take education from us. They may be certain their
childrens will get the real knowledge which will create the best citizens of
brahminical type, clean, honest, law-abidings, healthy, industrious, all goods
qualities they will have.
Now I think Krishna has inspired you in this way

My dear Chandravali,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter
dated November 4, 1972; and I have noted the contents with great care. I
have received also one letter from your good husband Citsukhananda and he
is going to Caracas, South America, for opening our ISKCON Branch there. I am
very much pleased upon him for his doing such prominent work in spreading
this Krishna Consciousness movement to that part. Especially I was happy to
see your nice temple in Mexico City, and I am always thinking of that place
and all the nice devotees there. I am happy to note also that you have given
birth to a daughter. You may call her_________ DASI, which means eyes like the
spreading petals of lotus. Raise your family to be exemplary Vaisnavas by
yourself following the regulative principles and rigidly chanting Hare Krishna
mantra, and without any doubt they and yourself become all of you firmly
situated on the path back to home, back to Godhead.
Regarding your questions, Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura never took formal
sannyasa. He was babaji, living in seclusion away from wife and family as
Paramahamsa. One can have as many childrens as Bhaktivinode Thakure as
long as one is as good as Bhaktivinoda Thakur. Visnupriya, wife of Lord
Chaitanya, was young woman of 16 years old when her husband take
sannyasa, leaving her without any children, but she always remembered Him,
so in that way she was always serving Him and she was never separated from
Him. Regarding your husband taking sannyasa, you should not worry as we
shall see ti the matter later, not now, and I promise you he will certainly fulfill
his family obligations in Krishna Consciousness.

encouraged by your work in pioneering this movement in South America and I
pray to Lord Sri Krishna that he will protect you in all your endeavors.
Hanuman and yourself appear to be working so nicely as a team that I am
writing to you as a team, so you please discuss the points I have mentioned in
Hanumans letter and do the needful in this regard. I hope this meets you in

Please accept my blessings. Y am in due receipt of your Air Mail Special
letter dated 14 of May 1973, and I have noted the contents. Tomorrow Y am
going to Dallas because the weather here in Los Angeles is not good for my
health. It is too cold and cloudy. So I am going to Dallas to get some sunshine.
If the weather there is not suitable, I may come at once to Caracas. Howewer,
if the weather is good in Dallas, I shall remain there until May 30 and then to
New Vrindavan for the corner stone laying for our first temple there. Then Y
shall come to Caracas from Pittsburgh. Please let me know in Dallas whether or
not you can make arrangements for tickets for four to Caracas.

Dear Kirtanananda Maharaja
Please accept my blessings. I beg you acknowledge receipt of your letter
dated December 30, 1973.
I was very pleased to hear your report of your cow protection program,
and I had part of your letter read aloud to a group of devotees how you have
one cow who will be giving 70-80 pounds a day. The cow is so wonderful and
valuable in society. But you should also use the bulls by engaging them in
tilling the ground. People may call also use the primitive way but it is very, bur
it is very practical for engaging the bulls--have them work in cart loading,
transporting, etc.
Regarding Srutakirti, I proposed to him that he go to New Vrindavan, but
he said he did no like farm work and so he wants to go to Caracas and perform
deity worship in the temple. So I have already asked him but I will say again,
how you require him at New Vrindavan and how he should work nicely there
with the cows, under your guidance. You inquire whether you can make
cheese? Why cheese? Make sufficient ghee. If you can send ghee to India that
would en nice service as there is scarcely any ghee there. Cheese is not good.
We should produce ghee so all our centers can have enough ghee.

My dear Hamsaduta Swami,
Please accept my blessings. I am due receipt of your letter dated Jan.
11th. , 1975 and have noted the contents. It is very encouraging. I pray to
Krishna that everything may be settled up as described by you. I am going to
Hawaii on Jan. 26 th. via Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. You can report the
next incidents to Hawaii. The program is that from Hawaii I may go to Mxico
and Caracas as invited by Hrdayananda Goswami.
All money that is collected on behalf of the Food Relief program should
be sent to India (or if possible, send grains) Why has this not been done? That
money (700.000 dm) that has been blocked bank account there, as soon as it
is freed, you should send whatever portion of it was collected on behalf of food
distribution program to India. All money should be sent to Bank of America,
International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Mayapur-Vrindavan Fund,
account N 16026 in Bombay.

Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated 11-175 and have noted the contents. If Karandhara can continue to pay the 9.000
dollars monthly, then what is the necessity of change? Let him continue.
Regarding the lawyer, is it necessary to pay 20.000 dollars? Can this avoided?
Unnecessarily, we cannot spend so much.
I will be going to Hawaii on Jan. 26th. You can let me know what is the
situation by mailing a report there. It is contemplated that we are going to
South America afterwards. So, if your business is finished up, then you can join
us directly from London to Caracas, but is the South American program does
not takes place, then I may back through L.A., New York, London, etc.

and I am very pleased to note your book distribution results in Latin America. I
am always thinking of Caracas temple. Although I went there once, it has
given me some impression. Now I am an old man, and depending on you to
carry on our mission more enthusiastically. The seed is already there. Now
water it and let it grow and fruit will come out, fruit of love of Godhead, and
you will all enjoy, even in this material world. Just try to give shape to the
instructions of My name will be spread in every nook and corner of every town
and village of the world. That is your duty, and you are one of the foremost
workers.
I want to travel continually to see my centers. Now there is little
impediment on account of my old body. Still I am trying and will continue to try
to see you again and again. My visiting different centers means to see you all,
even the buildings are the same, and the Deity is the same, but your
enthusiasm is ever fresh and invigorating.
