Logging into the LCP for the First Time
The LCP ships with the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional operating system installed.
The default for both the username and password of the LCP when it is first shipped is the serial number of the unit
without the dashes.
LCP Utility
The LCP includes a utility assist users in performing the following tasks.
Configure Serial Ports
Manually set Digital Outputs
View the status of Digital Inputs and Outputs
View the status of Ethernet Ports
Figure 1.
LCP utility interface.

B. This slot is populated with a digital input/output module. There may be additional or no slots with these buttons
depending on the configuration of the unit. The status of the digital inputs is shown red if the input is inactive. The
digital input is shown green if there is an input. The status of the digital outputs is shown. If the output is closed
the line will be horizontal to indicate a closed circuit. The line will be raised, as indicated in Figure 1, to show an
open circuit. The state of the digital outputs can be manual changed by clicking on the output.
C. The LED indicators on the Dual Ethernet card will be lit to indicate if there is an active link.
D. The LED indicators on the Gigabit Port will be lit to indicate if there is an active link.
Figure 2 shows digital output, circled in red, that is in the closed state.
