Mentors are sourced strictly by invitation from
the Industry, Community Partners or by
Entrepreneurs suggestion.
Mentors are individuals that have substantial
industry experience and considerable domain
expertise.
Mentors are vetted and approved by CIP.

Pre-Seed Eligibility
Any team of individuals which meets the
below criteria:
Main applicant is a Malaysian aged 18 years
and above, and
Main applicant is permanently residing in
Malaysia, and
Minimum of 2 applicants and maximum of 5
applicants per application

Allowable Expenditure
Reasonable allowance for the Project Team Members
Raw materials, tools, equipment, research materials
Personnel, services & technology to produce prototype/demos

Purchase / execution of market feasibility study and research

IP search, advisory and basic agreement drafting
Product testing and certification

Product marketing collaterals expenses

Incubator subsidy / lab rentals

CIP500 Eligibility
At least 51% of the companys equity is held
by Malaysians
Company in operations for less than 3 years
Companys total revenue is not more than
RM5mil in its total financial history
Company owns the Intellectual Property (IP)
rights of the products and/or services, which
is intended for commercialisation

Allowable Expenditure

Product refinement, market testing, and customised packaging

Marketing expenses (inc. collaterals, travel where necessary, etc)
IP search & registration , Market research & feasibility studies
Pay package of employees
Rental and utilities
Purchase of hardware and software
Business Plan Refinement
Technology licensing/acquisition (if necessary)
