Aim:
To equip the students with the requisite skills to make their communication effective

Evaluation Pattern:
1.To asses the communication skills of students in JAM sessions.
2.To test the spontaneity of presentation of students ideas in describing a person,place etc
3.To asses the listening skills by conducting audio-visual relevant tests.

2. Hidden Data of Communication


Aim:
To enable the students learn how to deal with the feelings, understand assertiveness
and develop self confidence.
Content for instruction:
1. Skills for dealing with feelings
2. Strategies for developing self confidence
3. Emotional intelligence
Students activity:
1. Students have to enact various role-plays to understand the importance of various
emotions& feelings in communication .
2. Perception checking through different verbal & non-verbal communication situationsTo guess about what might be the other persons intention, motive and reaction.
3. Describing a persons character or behaviour
4. Participate in assertiveness quiz., giving reasons and examples for their replies.
Evaluation Pattern:
1. To conduct assertiveness quiz to know the self confidence and the reaction of the
student .
2. To examine various emotional feelings including assertive response of the
students in brainstorming activities and various other suitable situations .

3. World of Teams
Aim:
To equip the students in understanding the basics of group discussion and decision
making process
Content for instruction:
1.What is a team?
2.Strategies of team formation

3.Strategies for Group Discussion and decision-making


Students activity:
1.To learn what a team is.
2.To learn what the elements of team work are
3. To learn leadership qualities in group discussion activities.
4.To develop decision making strategies in group discussion.
Evaluation Pattern:
1.Testing their initiation, motivation skills ,self confidence, team building, decision
making by conducting GD and mock meetings.

4. Adapting to Corporate World


Aim:
To enable the student to know corporate culture , dressing, corporate etiquette and
the ethical dilemmas present in business.
Content for instruction:
1. Dress code, social etiquette
2. Telephoning skills
3. Business ethics
4.Dining with corporate people
5.Interview skills
Students activity:
1. Participate in business ethics questionnaire, explain reasons for replies with examples.
2. Participate in telephonic role pay.
3 Explain and take part in Dining etiquette quiz..
4. Explain the Dress code and Dress up (make up) oneself assuming a formal situation.
5.Attending mock interviews.
Evaluation Pattern:
1.To estimate the student follow up of corporate culture by conducting various content
based questionnaires.

Aim:
1. To enable the students to familiarize themselves with the types of presentation
skills.
